As long as he is 100% and they give him time to get his legs back.... I hate to see something like a groin injury set him back further.

I am ok waiting for a healthy Kes, the boys have carried the load pretty well so far :)

But.... I can't help but think how this will change the lineups (drool)

Sedins, Kass
Higgins, Kes, Burrows
Mayray, Schroeds, Hansen
Patti, Manny, Lappy

Hansen might be more deserving of the second line...him and Higgy are interchangeable. But, these guys will all play their natural sides and the scoring should be pretty balanced :)

Scratch Schroeds, Insert Lappy at 3rd line center. Weise playing 4th line RW.

I don't really care right now.

First off Cox has no reliability, guys a clown as many have mentioned.

Also I think we should just be concerned with the day to day activities of the team, not saying we shouldn't keep tabs on Kes (Personally hoping he comes back soon as he is my favorite player)

But right now we should just concentrate on what is relevant in the present time, once Kesler reaches the level where he becomes a week to week or day to day thing then we should focus on it.

Until then I'm just worried about Friday, nothing pass that. Can't get too far ahead of ourselves.

I hope Kes and Burr get reunited and they go back to playing that irritating and shutdown game together.

That can take teams off their game and then Sedins and Kass can light it uppppp.

Gmmg already denied that Kesler is back in two weeks, gmmg questioned where dc got info while wondering his motivation for putting bad info out in the public. Stated kesler would determine himself when he was ready and wouldn't be rushed back

It'd be great if Kesler is back in two weeks. But its.....Damien Cox. I don't buy it.

There has never been any word of a timeline from the Canucks organization.

I know, I was waiting for this.

Because I just think there are better things to speculate on. Personally I don't know anything about the situation other than that he has had the surgeries, I haven't gone to see or really seen any reports.

I like being invested in the team and right now I don't see a return on the horizon so I don't think it is worth investing time into. That's all. lol

I'd do this when they come back, In this short season I think its a good idea to keep our current line combinations

i'd put burrows at 3rd line center
sedinds kass
booth kesler raymond
higgins burrows hansen
lap mal vol

The worst thing he could do is come back too early. I really hope he has the patience to wait until he is 100% fully better.

much like Luongo trade rumors I'm taking this skeptically and not holding my breath until it actually happens. Of course I'd love to see him and Booth come back!

2012, meet Matthew 24:36-47!

But... that's kinda all this board is for...

None of us really know anything so we just speculate. If we stop doing that we'd have nothing to do but laugh at Yete or maybe like... go outside... or something drastic like that.

Sense is..............

Since when did Damien Cox have any sense?

Only when he gets change for a dollar.

^^^I see what you did there. Very well-played.
This is probably my lack of sleep talking, but I'm ready to see Kes ASAP. Please just be healthy though.

Kesler on ice with Canucks! He's leading the stretch.

Yep, Murph tweeting it too. Although "skating with teammates" is a long stretch from "playing in a game with opponents who want to take you out with hitting". Baby steps, but so encouraging. Go Kes...we need you, buddy!

Sounds like he's pretty close if he's travelling with the team. ::D

I wouldn't read too much into 'travelling with the team'. One of the many great aspects of Kes' game is the positive impact he has on his team mates. His excessive energy and determined drive has got to rub off on the others. I think being on the sidelines must be killing him, so integrating with the team may help out there. I am hoping to see his healthy return before the end of February.

Doubt it. We would not let Kesler return early before he's ready and 100% because someone else gets injured.

higgyfan...but the tweets before that also indicated "skating with" (not just traveling). So that is encouraging news...

Maybe it's because of the less-than-ideal circumstances we are in given the shortened season, that we want to get Kesler back on the go rather than take our time to have him train at home and wait for the team to come back.

I think Kesler is going to continue his rehab on the road while practicing with the team to try and get into game speed. Normally, I think Kesler would have stayed back and worked on his rehab longer before skating with the team, but time is of the essence with a shortened season.

If anything, he might return earlier than he would have because I think they're trying to cut down on his return time by having Kesler rehab while skate with the team to get back to game speed at the same time rather than having him get to game speed after he's healthy.
