Grapefruits
Six people stabbed in West End Vancouver apartment building Stephanie Ip, The Province : Thursday, January 31, 2013 8:24 PM Stabbing in this apartment building in the West End Photo Credit: Global News , Vancouver police are now on scene at a West End apartment investigating a multiple stabbing. Sgt. Randy Fincham says six people were sent to hospital with injuries, and one man is in custody following a stabbing in the 1200-block of Barclay Street. A seventh person was injured but did not need to go to hospital. Early reports suggested at least five victims were attacked at 1263 Barclay St. Two are believed to be suffering from injuries to their throats, and another two with injuries to the chest. One resident who spoke to The Province said she heard a man screaming from her seventh-floor window around the time of the alleged attack. When she looked out of her balcony, another resident called to her from their balcony and told her to stay inside. “What I heard from the neighbours - and this is so horrible - is that someone was hit in the back of the head with a hammer and that they had been bleeding in the lobby,” she said. Police have yet to confirm the nature of the incident or if a weapon was used. A suspect was taken into custody a short distance away from the building. Detectives from the Vancouver Police Major Crime Section and the Forensic Identification Unit have been called out and they will be at the scene throughout the night. © Global News. RUPERTKBD
It's funny, all the usual gun shills show up as if to say, "see, people can kill people with things other than guns"... but as lillooet has already pointed out, if the attacker had been using a gun, all seven would be dead, rather than injured. RUPERTKBD
Maybe, maybe not, but a kitchen knife is to blades what a wimpy little .25 caliber pistol is to guns.
