When Jordan Schroeder took his shot it was neither in nor out, not a winning goal or a failed attempt. There are a million or more different possibilities that could have transpired, but only one did. Schroeder scored the winning goal!

According to Einstein and Hawkings there are infinite other dimensions and paralell realms, in ours this kid scored the winning goal in a big game against our arch rivals...Perhaps he should become a mainstay on the team.

Once Kesler and Booth return there will be plenty of competition for center forward and Burrows is now in the mix too.

Should Schroeder be on the team for the rest of the season? I think so.

He has impressed me a lot so far. Absolutely JS should stay in the lineup until he proves otherwise.

It took two shootout losses before he got the chance... hopefully he's a lock for shootout shooters.

Been waiting forever for him to get the chance, once I saw him I told my dad he was going to score and he did haha.

His saucer passes across the ice to Raymond are crazy always right on the tape.

Outstanding OP

Peace through physics

It was both a goal and a non goal till I observed it dribbling through the 5 hole

which was awesome

So last season Higgins should be on the second line instead of Raymond and 8 games into this season he should be off the team. And Manny (playing 4th line) has the highest faceoff percentage among our centers on the team. One of the reasons he was picked up in the first place.

Schroeder has 1 assist in 6 six games playing second line and PP. Yet he's earned a spot? He doesn't have to clear waivers to go to the Wolves. Which makes him a depth player at this point. He's played well, but not well enough to take a spot from a veteran.

My lineup:

Sedin-Sedin-Kassian
Booth-Schroeder-Kesler
Raymond-Burrows-Hansen
Volpatti-Lapierre-Weise/Manny/Higgins

Higgins has disappointed, and if he doesn't pick it up, I'm afraid JS will take his spot. Schroeder has been nothing short of superb. Not that he's racking up points, but he works so hard that I feel it's unfair to send him down. The points will come. It's either Higgins, Weise, or Manny will get that last spot.

Schroeder has earned his spot.

If our mentality is "Best players play" like everyone says it is then Schroeder will bump Higgins down the roster a bit and Ebbett will be waived.

Burrows is not in the mix for center,

2nd line is utterly invisible right now.

Higgins is slow, a few steps behind. Cut him loose at the end of ths year or add him into the goalie trade.
Playoff performer? Lol he had like 3 goals on our cup run. Every team has like 3-4 Higgins type tweeners.
Manny doesn't look slow, he is slow. Tragic event because he was a leader by example before the eye injury.

We may not have the deepest rookie pool, but our rookies have been absolutely money for us.

Higgins is a beauty. Bit of a slow start, but consistently one of the hardest working forwards last year. Give the guy a break, getting adjusted to some new line mates, he will be fine. Manny, however, is done. Needs to hang up the skates and become full time F/0 instructor to Burrows and Schroeder.

I think he should stay up, but not because of the shootout attempt. He has played well so far. I don't think he is good enough for a Top 6 role quite yet but he has looked comfortable and he can definitely keep up with the big boys.

Hard to send down a forward who has yet to have a bad game for his role. Makes Andrew Ebbett look expendable.

Lines right now?

Sedin-Sedin-Kassian
Raymond-Schroeder-Burrows/Hansen
Higgins-Laprierre-Burrows/Hansen
Volpatti-Manny-Weise

If Schroeder does well on the 2nd line then it would be more likely to keep him probably centering the 3rd line when Kes/Booth return.

Schroeder has been playing well and getting better adapted to the NHL game, but some of you are vastly overstating his play. Malhotra has been doing exactly what he is paid to do. Higgins will come along, slow start but nobody can question his work ethic.

Crazy comments on this board sometimes.

Schroeder should stay with the team. He hasn't put up points, but he's had at least 5-6 very good chances in his 6 games to score his first goal. He's fit in very well and doesn't hurt the team. When Kesler and Booth are back, he should stay

Sedin - Sedin - Kassian
Higgins - Kesler - Burrows
Raymond - Schroeder - Booth
Malhotra - Lapierre - Hansen
Volpatti/Weise
