Desperately seeking whipping boy

With Raymond, Ballard, and Kassian all playing very good hockey, how frustrating is it for those with a relentless appetite for scapegoats?

Schroeder can't yet be dubbed the bust that the prospect doomsdayers and prophets of the closing window were anxiously anticipating. He's being trusted by AV who has used him in difficult situations - anything but sheltered (by a coach a lot of people apparently think hates youth).

Garrison appears to have recovered well from his groin injury and has played much better than suggested by those who are desperate to judge every Gillis move a failure as soon as they possibly can.

Luongo, well, no need to go there.

Edler was cleared to play less than a month ago after being on injured reserve for three months with a back injury. He's had his ups and downs, but will undboubtedly continue to shake the rust off and get more comfortable moving to the right side. After re-signing to favourable terms, surely we aren't so desperate to be whining about Edler are we?

Without Kesler and Booth, the Canucks are playing very good hockey - there hasn't been much talk of how terrible the second line is, has there?

What are the self-loathing amongst Canucks fans to do?

They're anxiously awaiting Kesler and Booths return.

So they can rip them when they're getting their timing back.

If we're looking at the Sedins, Burrows and Higgins, we have it pretty good.

Bieksa, hopefully breaks the goose egg. However, his intensity has really shown lately.

Weise, same (plus hopefully he can take another step in his projected development; his speed and Dutch League play were supposed to help him become even better, though it's not like he hasn't played well)

If Ebbett's with the Wolves by now I'll let management off the hook for not bringing Schroeder up sooner.

Raymond's been fairly invisible these past couple of days. He's been taking a bad penalty per game now.
