NuxFan09
Chicago Wolves are back at home tonight vs the St. Louis Blues farm team, the Peoria Rivermen. They're coming off a fantastic effort against Milwaukee last night so let's hope the same kind of play from everyone, especially Joe Cannata in net, carries over to today. As usual, will post lineups and a starting goalie confirmation when available.

NuxFan09
Lines: Sweatt - Gordon - Haydar Archibald - Kattelus - Davies Miller - Schneider - Desbiens DiDiomete - Friesen - Rodin Joslin - Andersson Vandermeer - Matheson Hunt - Connauton Cannata Not sure if those lines and pairings are in order in terms of #1, 2, 3 etc. but Sweatt-Gordon-Haydar is the 1st line for sure, as is Joslin-Andersson the 1st D pairing. NuxFan09
A lot less action than last night's 1st period, that's for sure. Neither team seems to have the edge at this point. Lots of offsides and stuff.
NuxFan09
Vandermeer seems pretty rusty. Matheson just bailed him out.
NuxFan09
Sounds like Arniel is matching his top line against the Rivermen top line of Porter, Hensick and Nesbitt. I guess having a guy like Sweatt on the top line will give the coach a bit of extra faith.
NuxFan09
Michael Davies to the box for interference. Peoria to the PP and Cannata's first test of the game.
NuxFan09
The Wolves forward pair of Schneider-Miller on the PK is absolutely rock solid. The Wolves commentators noted how much they sacrifice the body whenever they're out ther on the kill.

NuxFan09
Bench minor gets called against the Wolves. Didn't hear what for. The teams were skating 4 on 4 so its a 4 on 3 PP now for the Rivermen.

NuxFan09
2nd period starting. Sweatt just ringed one off the post right after the opening faceoff. Minors go both ways after a scrum and it's 4 on 4 again.
NuxFan09
First Wolves PP of the game coming up. First unit is Sweatt - Gordon - Rodin down low, with Haydar and Hunt at the point. Aaaaaand the Rivermen score shorthanded, Brett Sonne on a wrap-around. 2-0 Rivermen.
NuxFan09
Chris Porter scores for Peoria. This marks the first time in Cannata's AHL career that he's given up more than 3 goals in a game. Wolves need to wake up here. For whatever reason, Peoria seems to do well against the Wolves, or the Wolevs seem to do terrible against Peoria. Whatever. 3-0 Rivermen. NuxFan09
Peoria picks up a too many men penalty so the Wolves are going back to the PP. Cue the Rivermen shorthanded goal.
