brewdog
Overpayment by us. Fun fact: Raymond is outscoring Ovechkin and makes a third of his salary.
wallstreetamigo
Not sure I would want Johanssen from WAS. Guy is softer than melted butter. He would only encourage other teams to beat us up.

thad
If they are in serious talks I'd be happy with Brouwer Wilson 2nd... Conditional 2nd becomes a 1st if Lu gets them to the finals
UFCanuck
In all seriousness I think if we can get Forsberg and a 1st out of them I think Gillis would take back a cap dump to buy out in the summer.

Tortorella's Rant
Does Johanssen even have a point this year to go with his app. -6 rating? And isn't Orlov out with a concussion or something? Edit: -

KING ALBERTS
The Caps need a goalie more so than the Pens. Dare to dream about OV. Who knows, let's all remember if the great one could be traded, so could anyone else. Lui, Ballard, Burrows, and a first would be fair IMO
stawns
Quite frankly I don't see a whole lot of sexyness on their roster aside from a few of the young players and prospects. Laich makes 4.5 million bucks and is in Europe anyway. You have Alzner and Brouwer which have appeal but aside from them, that's about it. There's also Carlson but I doubt they'd move him. While Johanssen has laid a huge egg right now, it's evident the entire Caps team is struggling anyway and not truly indicant of what he can actually bring. Orlov is playing in Hershey right now but had 19 points in 60 games for his rookie season.

WHL rocks
yeah, no. the thing about a trade is that it has to make sense to both sides. we would be talking schneider, booth, tanev or something like that just to not be laughed at by washington
brewdog
It seems like only a year ago that Washington had three hot goalies in Theodore, Varlamov, and Neuvirth.
Tangelos
Yup, it's time for this team to start moving in a different direction in that respect. Though Forsberg is a swede, I don't think he is soft........might not be a Kassian, but I don't think he gets pushed around.

Goal:thecup
So is Wilson too slow or a good young power forward with upside? Wilson, Carlsson, the best of their two goalies, and their 1st round draft pick, for, Roberto Luongo, Ebbet, Raymond, Barker, Rodin, Sauve, and our 2nd round draft pick. Perchance to dream.
