logic
So is Wilson too slow or a good young power forward with upside? Wilson, Carlsson, the best of their two goalies, and their 1st round draft pick, for, Roberto Luongo, Ebbet, Raymond, Barker, Rodin, Sauve, and our 2nd round draft pick. Perchance to dream. kloubek
No way we get Ovechkin. Couldn't afford him anyway. Washington obviously needs a good goalie. Holtby and Johansson were both touted to have great skill, but both have looked horrible so far this year and with any luck Washington is fed up with them and includes them in a package for Luongo. allkill326
I could see a line of Burrows Laich Brower that a solid third line with higgins Lapiere Hansen as the fourth.......laich and brouwer makes the bottom 6 really solid
Gollumpus
Laich would be a good fit in our lineup. Well-rounded, solid, not-so-expensive guy.
allkill326
He's making Burrow's kind of money ($4.5 million per) and he hasn't gotten above the 16 goal mark for the last two seasons (while playing a full 82 games). For what the Canucks need at the moment in a LW, Brouwer fits the bill better. Will only be making $3.6 million per, and has had comparable offensive production to Laich over the last few years. regards, G. PS - Over the last two seasons Booth has scored more goals than Laich, and in fewer games.
MyNameIsTom
I'll have whatever you're smoking if you think Holtby is better than Luongo. If Holtby is what the return is for Luongo, that is incredibly sad and would be such a dumb move.

Gollumpus
It's about chemistry, not statistics. Best Regards, allkill326
allkill326
True enough chum, but the cap has to be considered as well. An extra $1 million argues against Laich being a good fit regardless of chemistry, unless the Canucks were to dump a player like Booth. And if the Canucks picked up Laich, only to drop Booth, might it be said that they haven't really done anything to improve the team? A player such as Brouwer (assuming he fits in) would make the left side with Sedin and Booth, a whole lot stronger than it is currently. regards, G. Rypien37
4.5M is cheap, if you think about the guys our team is giving. Luongo has a 6.5M cap hit as of this season, and Schneider has a 4.0M, meaning the cap can be covered through trading our players. Cheers, allkill326
