Nuxfanabroad
How to quickly reverse the damage that Burke caused. Use ownership's financial clout. For starters... >Send Kessel, Komisarek & Scrivens to NYI, for: Niederreiter, Dipietro & 2014 1st. -Amnesty BO for Dipietro(it's expensive, I know) -Get away from the Kessel disaster. He might flourish with Tavares. Incentive for Garth Snow to make this deal, & dump a couple headaches. **************************************************************** >Next, send Phaneuf, Reimer, & Kulemin to Philly, for Brygalov, 2013 1st & Laughton -Would TO have to include their 2nd? -Don't have to buy out Bryz, if he can keep up his current standard. This would enable Holmgren to pursue the great 'tender we all know he truly wants. They really should use the amnesty thing to help out some other gm's, whilst receiving additional youth/picks. It's a one-time deal.
Smashian Kassian
These deals are remarkably bad for Toronto.
Pears
I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or serious with those two deals. If Phaneuf goes to Philly Simmonds or Voracek at least will be going to Toronto.
Nuxfanabroad
Well, if this value is so poor they'll simply have to get MORE picks/prospects. Bottom line, they should clear out middling players from the BB regime, go young, & tank for a year or two. Should have done this 5 years ago-same as Calgary. Certainly they could expedite the process, if they took on a couple of contracts to amnesty. If I were a Leaf fan, I'd rather see Nonis do this. UFCanuck
Trade Kessel to Columbus for two first round picks and a2nd rounder. Trade Reimer for Markkstrom. Oh sorry Toronto it doesn't work in reverse. Tuuka Rask your franchise goaltender. Tyler Seguin your franchise center. Dougie Hamilton your franchise defenseman. All traded to a rival Eastern team. But they have Phil Kessel...
Nuxfanabroad
Columbus huh? Hmm, I could see that working. He's not a guy for limelite; they've trouble attracting the top players. Good match.
Ghostsof1915
Trade Kessel to Philly for Couturier and a 1st rounder. Trade Bozak and Kulemin to Columbus for Ryan Johansen and a 1st rounder. Now Toronto is set down the middle, and has 3 first round draft picks to build with. Fire the scouting staff and hire guys from Detroit, Philly, and New Jersey. You'll have a contender in 2-3 years. underrated
Philly robs Toronto in that second deal. If the Islanders pick becomes a top three pick then honestly it's a very interesting idea. Toronto has the money to buy out DiPietro. They get a former top ten pick stud, and an elite draft pick. They dump Komisarek's bad contract. Obviously losing Kessel hurts but getting a top three pick and Neiderreiter somewhat makes up for the Boston trade.

Raymond Ballard and a 1st
Only way the Leafs get back to being a contender is to BUILD THROUGH THE DRAFT!!!
aeromotacanucks
the Toronto Maple Stupid NERDS are just like North Korea. everybody knows he´s there, every day he says something about "be feared" or "we gonna do something" and everybody believes. That´s why Leafs fans are also called "Belieafs" because they believe in everything... you can put Luongo and the Sedins there and the NERDS will loose again... and after loose another game they will blame everything, "it wasn´t our fault because we started use the metric system today and we´re confused" or "Darth Vader is using the force to stop us. it´s not our fault if we can´t score even with the empty net" maybe if they hire KIM JONG SUN there people may believe something real is happening...
