If he comes back, what do we do with Schroeder? I really like his game. Hes earned a spot in my mind.

Yeah for sure! hope he sticks, he makes a great 3rd line center with his speed and playmaking, his passes are incredible. Canucks could always use a fast skater, one of the ways the Canucks win sometimes is by outskating the opposition. With Booth and Kes back and him sticking I could see the forward lines like this:

Sedin Sedin Kassian
Booth Kesler Burrows
Raymond Schroeder Higgins
Lapierre Malhotra Hansen

Thats a pretty good system, lets say Kassian misses a game, Burrows can move back with the Sedins where they already have chemistry, with burrows moved up higgins can move up to second line and reform the amex line, from there hansen can move up to the third and create a speed line with Raymond and Schroeder.

Off season Kesler:
- Zamboni driver
- Save-on-foods grocery boy
- Tim Hortons worker
- Referee

- Ducks merchandise cashier

He better be 100% if he is coming in. no bs. if he isn't feeling it then don't play yet.

exactly my thoughts.

To Kesler: if you're not 99.9999999999% ready, just don't play T__T

Hmm, interesting. I dont really like Kassian on the Sedin line. Yeah hes doing great, but the Sedins are struggling. As soon as Burrows was back on that line there was a spark, and they created a really nice play to set up Tanev. So....

I'd rather we rest him until March. A healthy Kesler will be absolutely crucial come playoffs.

If he plays Saturday then both he and the franchise didn't learn a dam thing from last time he came back from injuries. But I am sure a division rival will take it easy and wont lay the body on him.

100% in agreement.
Kass will be tried on the second with Booth and Kes.

Problem is the Nucks have no second line center and Gillis can't seem to make a trade in nine months.

You guys do remember his surgery was in the summer...

He's had plenty of time to heal up, and I doubt the Canucks would allow him to rush back. But I do doubt he's back on Saturday.

Problem? What problem? Schroeder seems to be doing just fine and we are 5-2-2.

its funny how kuzma mentions strength being an issue , when tomlinson said the drill he saw kesler doing was shots on net, including one timers followed by hard shoulder checks into the boards.. you would think he wouldnt be doing this if he was still really far away

Couldnt double quote fail......

Burr wasn't on the ice with the sedins for the 4 on 4 Tanev goal.... I think there are certain teams we play against that the sedins will need kassians brawn but for the faster teams like the oilers burr was good to keep the puck offensive.....

Is that why Burrows was playing 2C? You know, that winger that had never played center ice in his life?
Schroeder is ,at best, a third line center at this level-right now.

Give MG's interview from yesterday a listen. Kesler hasn't been cleared for full contact yet.

http://www.teamradio.ca/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/Mike-Gillis-Feb-5th.mp3

He talks about:

Why he was in Washington
The Lou/Corey situation
Liut's interview
Kesler's injury
The possibility of Schroeder sticking

lol i knew it! gillis is a Rastafarian stoner!!

So risk Kesler coming back to re-injure himself just because we had a winger playing center? IMO Burr did quite well for himself. And Schroeder might not be a full time 2nd liner, but he's a great replacement till Kesler is back.

As I mentioned before, we are 5-2-2. Where is the need for Kes to rush back?

i dont think he needs it. From the sounds of things his conditioning was better than most guys that showed up at camp. He will help us the second he gets in the line up. i would rather give him 12 minutes on the third line here than send him to chicago. He's not a 3rd or 4th line tweener, he's ryan kesler, he'll be fin.

HIghly doubt this is true.

MG said on TEAM 1040 yesterday or today that Ryan looks really good but has not been approved for full conact yet.  Pretty unlikely he will play Saturday.

He's been cleared for contact for over a week now.

If it were not for Luo this team would be 2-2-5.
Kes has been rehabbing since August.
The twins suck without Burr.
Schroeder is not a 2c.Sorry.

1. We are where we are. Doesn't matter if its Lu or anybody. We're 5-2-2.
2. What does the Kesler injury have to do with Burrows not playing with The Sedins?
3. I said Schroeder is a replacement till Kes gets back. Never said he was a 2C

Do we need to move Lu to make capspace for Kes? I think he's listed LTIR right now (Booth isn't) so I'm not too sure about our current "real" cap total...anyone know?

I believe your comparison comes from the fact that Gillis never says anything of substance, likes to eat a lot and he sends out information that must come from a state of illusion.Bob Marley helps his schtick.

please don't....

Kes's recovery was still unknown a week or 2 ago and I doubt he will be 100% if he returns this soon.

I would much rather to see him take his time to recover until he returns...

1. It matters if you are a fan of this team.Luo is reminding everyone but you that he is a large part of this team's success.
2.You have obviously been out of town.
3.Schroeder is not a replacement for Kes.Maybe in a few years.

If/When he comes back. Let him get his hands back playing in front of the net on the PP and he can centre the 4th line for a couple games sitting Manny out. 7-8 minutes per game for the first 2-3 games.

Then its all systems go!

Maybe he'll come back like some pitchers returning from Tommy John surgery. Stronger and more Durable. Bionic Kes.
