Schroeder will go down.

Ebbett is the ideal 13th forward that sits in the box. When Kesler returns, if Schroeder doesn't have a roster spot, then he'll sit in the box - management will want Schroeder to play as many minutes as possible, so he'll be sent down.

If Schroeder does earn a roster spot as a 3rd line center, and we put Weise/Volpatti in the press box, then Ebbett will be the one to go.

The problem with Schroeder sitting is that he doesn't develop.

Again, if we can sit Weise or Volpatti and give Schroeder the 3rd line role, then yes. If not, send him down and keep Ebbett. IF we should have to use him, it will be a short term 1-3 game fix - if it is long-term, then we can easily call up Schroeder and keep Ebbett in the box.

They're not gonna send Schroeder down over Ebbett. That wouldn't do him any good. He's finally showing he can play at this level.

We need a third line center that can create some offense. Lappy can't do that on a consistent enough basis.

Plus Schroeder actually adds something to our 2nd unit PP. Once Booth is back in, we'll actually have a finisher on that unit.

Watch it be Schroeder because he doesn't have to clear waivers. Heaven forbid we lose an asset like Andrew Ebbett, right Gillis?

In all honesty, though, if it actually is Ebbett that gets sent down, I do hope he clears because he'd be a big addition to the Wolves.

As Dasein keeps stating,it depends on if a player would be lost on waivers and if the big club does not want to take that risk.

'Fans' of this team here dump on Ebbett but the guy has done all that Schroeder has, save score a shoot out goal,an unmolested shot on net that barely trickled past the goal line.It was the stuff of Canuck legend.

Ebbett created the Volpatti goal and is 45% in the circle.Schroeder is 38%.Ebbett has a solid defensive game and can play all three forward positions.

Schroeder is part of the team going forward, the question is will he be developed faster and better playing third line minutes here or first line minutes in the A?

A healthy Kes means Manny and Lappy are box sitters. Why put a young guy there that obviously needs to get bigger, stronger and better?

Schroeder is not strong enough in the circle and is not a defensive player.Kes can eat the 2c PP time.
