If he really didn't know about his agent's plan to speak to the media and give him the go ahead to talk, then he needs a new agent. I get that it's his agent's job to advocate on his behalf to try and make sure his value is as high as it can be, but man. That was not a good move, whining about ice time. Especially not after the Cody Fiasco last year. Can you imagine if Cory gets traded now? "Well, he wasn't getting enough starts so he wanted out" .. eugh. Not the way you want to be painted. The bottom line is Schneider is the easier piece to move, and will likely get the same or higher return. If a team calls Gillis up tomorrow and says "I'll give you this young star player for Schneider", you don't think Gillis would consider it?
