Goal:thecup
So a team can suspend Luongo at the end of his career, and then trade him to a team that needs to reach the cap floor? The NHL is going to need to clear this up. How long can a player be suspended for and still be considered an active contract? I didn't even think you could trade suspended players, just like you can't trade injured players.

DeNiro
Wow, this is just sloppy on Katie's part. She should know better that isn't Thomas' picture. She reports for the NYI and NYI plays Boston A LOT and are thus, extremely familiar with Thomas. How could you get that picture wrong?
DeNiro
I can't confirm whether or not you can trade suspended players but you definitely CAN trade injured players, provided that it is FULLY DISCLOSED. Higgins was acquired in this way from FLA at a really cheap price ~4th round pick. At the time, he had a broken finger.

Markus Alexander Cody
Wow, this is just sloppiness on Katie's part. She should know better that isn't Thomas' picture. Dazzle
Or maybe she searched quickly in the ESPN database for a Tim Thomas and disregarded who was who and just quickly put it up? I notice it's gone now so...
