-AJ-
Mike Gartner won with 28.57% of the votes. Frank Mahovlich had 5 nominations; Chelios was second with three. Frank Mahovlich was added to the list. Congratulations to Mike Gartner for being named the #48 Player of All-Time! Please remember to nominate someone to be added to the voting list! Markus Alexander Cody
Voted for Al MacInnis and Canada. Case for MacInnis. By far the most feared slapshot during his days as a St. Louis Blue and Calgary Flame. He was the 4th defenceman of all time to reach the 100 point plateau and only 5 defenceman have ever reached the 100 point plateau as a defenceman and MacInnis was one of them. The other 4? Bobby Orr, Paul Coffey, Brian Leetch, Denis Potvin. That is some elite company folks. Something Nicklas Lidstrom or Scott Niedermayer or Scott Stevens has never done and imo, no defenseman will ever reach the 100 point plateau ever again. Ever. Erik Karlsson maybe but that's unlikely. Used primarily as a power play specialist in his first years as a professional, MacInnis worked at improving his overall game such that he was named a Norris Trophy finalist three consecutive seasons between 1989 and 1991. MacInnis's play developed to the point where he was as valued for his defensive ability on the penalty kill as he was his offence on the power play. Led by MacInnis' 31 points, the Flames won the first Stanley Cup championship in their history in 1989. He had four goals and five assists in six games in the final series against Montreak en route to winning the Conn Smythe Trophy. MacInnis became the first defenceman to lead the league in post-season scoring, and he finished with a 17-game scoring streak, the longest by a defenceman in NHL history. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TpBDAyofcg edit: and yes, I did copy the last couple paragraphs from Wikipedia because it's late and I can't think when it's late
-AJ-
I'm voting for Glenn Hall now. He has three Vezina Trophies, a Calder Trophy and a Conn Smythe to his name, but most impressive is his completely unbreakable record of 502 consecutive starts as a goaltender. In 1998, The Hockey News ranked him as the #16 Player of All-Time. For the fourth time, I'm going with Chris Chelios for my nomination. Chelios is 5th All-time in games with 1,651, which also puts in at 1st all-time among defensemen. Among defensemen, he's at 10th all-time in points, and 8th all-time in assists. Chelios holds numerous age-based records and is also the all-time leader in playoff games played with a stunning 266. In those 266 playoff games he helped his teams to 3 Stanley Cups. One of Chelios' best accolades are his three Norris Trophies, his latest being in 1995-96.

Langdon Algur
Voted Hall Nominate George Hainsworth. This Habs and Leafs goalie had 22 shutouts in a single season, a record set in 1928-29 that still stands!! Considering he played 44 games that season, thats a average of one shutout every other game! He is third behind only Brodeur and Sawchuck (both high on the list) for all time shutouts. Still holds the NHL record for lowest GAA with a single season GAA of 0.92. 3 Vezina trophy's, 2 Stanley Cups and rated number 46 on the Sporting News list. The guy deserves at least an honorable mention. Edit- oh he also has the second lowest career GAA in NHL history at 1.93. His career playoff GAA is also 1.93. goalie13
Voting Hall. Adding to what AJ said about Hall (shamelessly copied from Wikipedia)... Nicknamed "Mr. Goalie", he was the first goaltender to develop and make effective use of the butterfly style of goalkeeping. According to NHL lore, Hall threw up before each game, then drank a glass of orange juice. Hall is also the goalie in that famous picture of Orr scoring "The Goal". Nominating Tony Esposito Stanley Cup Champion (1969). Calder Memorial Trophy (1970). Vezina Trophy (1970, 1972, 1974)
