Maybe put Kass back with the twins for a while so Burr can play with Kes and Booth. Try Raymond with them now and then but keep him close to Schroeder.

Ryan's passing has been as as good from the press box as it is on the rink so as much as he will help us he will also hurt his line mates play, so I think it's a wash.

The question is will we?

Either way they will be in the line up at some point and i don't think there is any one player right now that you can say has not been doing there part and deserves to sit to make room for Kes and booth..
but i would like to see

Sedin, sedin, Bur (this line is a given swap bur and kass if facing a bigger team or need burr on a diff line,)
Mayray, Shredder, Hansen (fast as heck can score and are great at both ends of the ice)
Higgy, Kesler, Lappy (probably one of the best shut down lines in the league that can score and pis s off the other team)
Booth, malhotra, Kassian (probably one of the most threatening 4th lines in the league fast ,good at keeping the puck can be a safe bet in there own end)

we have a great team when everyone is healthy and we need to take advantage of it for this season next season this team will not look the same. load up the lines and make a push.
plus we have Weise, Volpatti, vandermeer when needed.

It's like we're making a blockbuster trade and giving up nothing.

To Vancouver:
C - Ryan Kesler
W - David Booth

To Western Conference:
You're screwed

Considering we'll bring them in one at a time (as they both won't be healthy at the exact same time) they'll have a chance to adjust and see where they'd best fit in.

And currently we have Kesler and Booth on IR to free up roster spaces but we aren't using LTI for cap relief and we're still $840K under the cap currently, so I'm not worried about having to fit either play back in. We'll have to send people down as they return to the lineup though, or perhaps a trade will help with that.

If this team lets go of Sang he will burn this team next year.

Ya looking at our lineup its going to be hard decision on who to scratch when Kesler and Booth come back but it will more than likely be 2 players from our fourth line sitting in the press box to make room, the question is which 2?

If the coaching staff goes off of who has been playing the best then I don't see how they could scratch Volpatti over malhotra and weise. Volpatti is a big hitter and is willing to drop the gloves which really no one else on our team except kassian is willing to do.
Too me Weise is a poor mans kesler and booth, doesnt have a good enough skill set to be a top 9 on our team and not gritty enough to be a 4th line banger. As for malhotra well he pretty much is invisible out there except for face offs but I have a feeling Vingeault will scratch volpatti over manny just because of his leadership presence.

Our lines will be hard to make when we are fully healthy because i dont think the raymond, schroeder, hansen line is gritty enough to be our third line and kassian and higgins both are better than 4th line players but our depth is gonna be unbelievable when we are healthy.

When kes and Booth return my forward lines would be

sedin-sedin-burrows

booth-kesler-kassian

raymond-schroeder-hansen

higgins-lappiere-volpatti

weise/malhotra/ebbett

hamhuis-edler

beiksa-garrison

tanev-ballard

schneider
luongo

If this lineup plays to its potential they have as good a chance as any team in the league to win a cup this year.

Don't be shocked if the Canucks lose a couple in a row when Kes and Bear hunter return. Team is rolling with chemistry right now and putting guys in your top 6 who haven't played in a very long time will likely slow things down a bit till they find their game.

We could always shelter their minutes by giving them limited ice time. It just means Weise and Volpatti's minutes will go to Kesler and Booth until they get their timing.

Just look at our dismal PP, PK and FO%. We miss Kesler because he can contribute even when not scoring goals or giving assists.

Either boothe luongo , or Schroeder luongo for a big name. That's what I want to see happen. One of the two are the odd man out. One of them is more valuable in a trade package IMO.

I honestly see Schroeder as a better fit as he is going to be a better defensive player IMO.

Phil Kessel. Imagine. It could happen if they package Lu and boothe.

If Kesler's return results in:

1) Less defensive pressure on the Sedins

2) A better powerplay

the team will be damn near unstoppable. Without Kesler and Booth, the team already has the best goaltending in the league and one of the best defense group, and is getting adequate secondary scoring. If the Sedins start to score more as a result of Kesler attracting some of the other teams' defensive personnel and the PP clicks at a higher rate, where will this team be hurting. Pretty much nowhere. Exciting to think about.

Both Kesler and Booth should get punished for this. We need to send them a strong message that getting injured frequently like this is totally unacceptable. AV should put them both on a very short leash and if they fail to find their game soon enough and contribute consistently at a high level, they will be sitting out games. They need to feel pi ssed off like how Schneider or Luongo feel when they have to sit out while the other plays. I like that the team is doing fine without them. They need to feel that they are replaceable. That will fix them. LOL.

We will be worse.
7-2-2 extrapolated over a regular 82 game season is 119 points.

Our 2 presidents cups were with 111 and 117 points.

Trade LU and Raymond for a gritty hard hitting 15 -20 goal left winger and 1st round draft pick and you'd have a scary forward line up. Hmm sounds alot like Higgins only a little bigger.

Sedin Sedin Burrows
Booth Kesler Kassian
-------- Schroeder Hansen
Higgins Lappierre Volpatti

You have a strong lineup with ability to move the three right wingers and three left winger up and down the lineup without putting them out of position depending on who's playing stronger.

...I am just not feeling bold enough this morning to go there, so I won't.

To the OP, I would be surprised if there were some fans expecting Kesler and Booth to instantly come back to form. We can all be assured, however, that they will be healthy. As for lines, they will slot in on the second line with either Kassian or Burrows as a linemate. The chemistry of Hansen, Shredder, and RayRay is very promising, and I for one do not expect that third line to change moving forward. Once K & B return this will arguably be the best team to dress in a Canucks uniform, leading us all to one overwhelming question...

This is indeed a rare luxury that neither Booth nor Kelser need to be rushed back into the lineup - the Canucks record would indicate that they have suffered little in their absence.

Why can't people spell Kesler's name properly?

Anyway, sometimes counter intuitively teams play better when certain star players are out to compensate. I would actually expect the Canucks to drop a game or two while Kesler / Booth find their chemistry / legs once they're back in the lineup. In the long haul though, we'll be needing Kesler come playoffs, big time. Can't wait until he's back.

Booth and kesler should not play together. They clearly are the same type of player and both want to shoot

proposed lines:

sedin sedin burrows/kassian
higgins kesler kassian/burrows
booth schroder hansen
raymond/volpatti lapierre weise

booth on the third lines gives a balance of size and speed down the wing to even out the 2nd tier scoring
Higgins is a good playmaker for kesler and if kassian plays with him, he can chase down pucks so kesler doesn't have to go in the dirty areas
