Don't worry. Ebbett will be gone once Kesler comes back.

You mean when Malhotra comes back. When Kesler and Booth come back, I'd rather see Weise and Volpattie scratched, rather than Schroeder.

I honestly thought we were going to blow this lead... i was getting flashbacks of the Canucks/Kings game when LA tied it up with under a minute. Wild severely outplayed the Canucks in the 3rd.. But every win is a good win and this was a good win.

How was the crowd level tonight? It seemed a bit nonexistent even with the Southsiders there

I guess Minnesota fans are realizing this isn't basketball and signing two players won't make your crappy team a good team.

Please just keep that Raymond Schroeder Hansen line together. I don't even remember them playing in their own end all game

So we can be pushed around all night again?

Please, you undervalue the grit currently spread throughout the lineup which has been a key to our success IMO. Even the twins play more physical.

I thought the fourth line was its best ever last night with their limited minutes.

Amazing how Av keeps playing the same in the third. His playbook ended years ago.
I'm soo sick of dump and change momentum killing quick shifts to protect alead.
How many more years of this? Why can't this team be aloud to show its talent under AV?
Seriously they need a coach. AV only still around due to the fact Sneids has been pushing LU for the last three years inflating AVs win %. Wake up MG there's no creativity under AV its same old thing. Every team knows AV's System

Weise was ok but I thought Volpatti did not have a good outing. I really am a Volpatti fan but I didn't think the line was a very important part of last nights game and Volpatti. Having said that If I had to choose I'd keep him up over Weise.

I love kassian on the third line he plays better then with the twins. I'd like to see him with Ryan when he back. The twins looks good too bad they couldn't burry one.

Beautiful puck handling by MayRay!
Loving the speed line - Honey Badger, Shredder, MayRay
Kassiain - not just a sasquatch...a playmaker! Nice heads up play and passing also HITTING!
No call on Dank was BS and Lappy taking a penalty defending him - also BS
Glove stealing? Hilarious. What are we, 8 years old?
Wish I knew what Ferraro overheard
Juice cruising up the slot - love it - hope he is ok, looked like he tweaked a knee
LUUUUU - keep platooning the tenders AV. Its a win win.

agreed, had enough of watching this team get pushed around 2 years ago.
We're still not built for a deep playoff run, when things turn savage and whistles put away, we need to add another power forward but for now
my lineup in 2 weeks might resemble this..

Sedin-Sedin-Kassian
Booth-Kesler-Burrows
Raymond-Schroeder-Hansen
Vandermeer-LaPierre-Volpatti

Tough win, boring game. Everyone play was good the only 2 players that were not and stood out to me were Garrison and Ebbet.
Garrisons gotta improve, more offensively but also somewhat defensively.

Helen Keller would hit the net as often as Garrison so far this year.

Ebbett ? nice guy but not NHL calibre.

Sedin-Sedin-Kassian
Booth-Kesler-Burrows
Raymond-Schroeder-Hansen
Vandermeer-LaPierre-Volpatti

You would put Vandermeer on the fourth line over Higgins? Really?

We're not calling up vandermeer to be a fourth liner.

The lineup will more likely be:

Sedin Sedin Burrows
Raymond Kesler Booth
Kassian Schroeder Hansen
Higgins Lapierre Volpatti

THe offence will come.

As for defence, he leads the team in +/- and is playing top 4 D minutes. Considering the layoff, injury recovery and being on a new team/system, I would say he's doing alright.

You're probably right on the lineup AV will go with though I am concerned that Kes and Raymond don't mesh and Raymond's new found success will be killed on that line. Mason Schroeder and Hansen obviously see the ice the same way and are effective with their speed and defensive responsibility. I'd prefer to see Kassian and Burows alternate 1st and 2nd line duty (depending on how the Sedins are being treated) and leave the Raymond-Schroeder-Hansen line in-tact for awhile at least.

I like thi slineup, with Kass and Burrows being able to move back and forth depending on the situation.

This would allow AV to roll 4 lines more consistently and likely result in better scoring distribution as well.

Honestly how long is it going to take Garrison to hit the net? Is it really that hard to even get one shot through? His accuracy is terrible, Campbell must have fed him some AWESOME passes.

The unfortunate thing is, he won't be in contention for the Vezina unless he has a starter's workload this season, no matter how good his numbers are. Look at Brian Elliott last year. He didn't even get a sniff of the Vezina. You have to be the undisputed starter on your team and Luongo is not that.

The fact is, both Canucks goalies are Vezina calibre. Hopefully the team decides on one soon so whoever it is can compete for some hardware!

I was puzzled why Lou got this start despite Cory's recent streak but all was made clear when I noticed that the Wild's goalie had exactly ZERO NHL games to his name. The coddling continues...

...and is anybody really going to try to tell me that this game was more exciting that even a middling KHL game? Yawnsville.

Hansen, Raymond, Kassian, Schroeder, Ballard, Hamhuis, Luongo were all outstanding and dominated the play when they were out there

Hank, Bieksa, Tanev, Lappy, Higgins all played well, but were average

Burr, Edler, Garrison, Volpatti, Weise, Danny all had games on the weaker side

I see more logic here and it doesn't screw up the team chemistry just to accommodate the puck hogs.

Historically Lou plays teams that are playing the second of back to back road games while whoever else is on our team gets to play the second of Canuck back to back road games. We'll soon see if this trend continues. What's the bet Cory plays on the 22nd?
