-AJ-
Finally, almost a year after it was started by Champions of Nothing on February 14, 2012, the Top 50 Players of All-Time list is complete! As for the last poll, Al MacInnis was voted in with 30.3% of the votes, just ahead of Luongo. I used Excel's random function to determine the last player to be added to the options (aka Honourable Mentions) and Phil Housley won. The List: #1 - Wayne Gretzky #2 - Mario Lemieux #3 - Bobby Orr #4 - Gordie Howe #5 - Maurice Richard #6 - Steve Yzerman #7 - Nicklas Lidstrom #8 - Doug Harvey #9 - Joe Sakic #10 - Patrick Roy ---------------------- #11 - Mark Messier #12 - Mike Bossy #13 - Martin Brodeur #14 - Jean Beliveau #15 - Ray Bourque #16 - Jaromir Jagr #17 - Marcel Dionne #18 - Bobby Hull #19 - Paul Coffey #20 - Dominik Hasek ---------------------- #21 - Brett Hull #22 - Ron Francis #23 - Guy Lafleur #24 - Pavel Bure #25 - Eddie Shore #26 - Phil Esposito #27 - Teemu Selanne #28 - Denis Potvin #29 - Terry Sawchuk #30 - Valeri Kharlamov ---------------------- #31 - Howie Morenz #32 - Jacques Plante #33 - Peter Stastny #34 - Bryan Trottier #35 - Vladislav Tretiak #36 - Dale Hawerchuk #37 - Stan Mikita #38 - Peter Forsberg #39 - Adam Oates #40 - Larry Robinson ---------------------- #41 - Sidney Crosby #42 - Jari Kurri #43 - Sergei Fedorov #44 - Henri Richard #45 - Luc Robitaille #46 - Bobby Clarke #47 - Ken Dryden #48 - Mike Gartner #49 - Glenn Hall #50 - Al MacInnis Honourable Mentions: - Roberto Luongo - Mats Sundin - Brendan Shanahan - Borje Salming - Bernie Federko - Brian Leetch - Chris Chelios - Ted Lindsay - Bernie Geoffrion - Ed Belfour - Frank Mahovlich - Phil Housley Some interesting stats about the list: 38 out of 50 of the players on the list are Canadian, which is 76%. (I considered Mikita Canadian and Brett Hull American). Top Canadian players list end up being somewhat similar to this list. Below are a couple of charts with some more interesting stats: What parts of the list to you agree with? What parts do you disagree with?

Langdon Algur
It would be interesting to see which teams are best represented by the players on the list. An early glance leads me to beleive Detroit and Montreal have the most players on the list.

Monty
Big fan of both the Jets and the Canucks, but I do not know why Dale Hawerchuk is even up there. As for Bure, I'd question putting him at number 50, let alone 24. Great player, but 24th best of all time?
Langdon Algur
I could try to figure it out, but it gets complicated because most players played for more than one team.
-AJ-
Personally, I agree with the top 5, but not the order of them. I'd like it more like: Gretzky, Orr, Howe, Lemieux, and then Richard. Also, I'm not sure Bure should've been as high as he was. A lot of older players weren't voted as high as they should've been, such as Eddie Shore and Howie Morenz. I was happy to see Doug Harvey voted into the top 10. I also feel like Stastny and Hawerchuk went in a little late. All in all, it's a pretty decent list though.

Captain Aerosex
Bure is way too high, Bobby Hull is criminally low. Those 2 jump out at me. Nice work AJ

hudson bay rules
no, no he shouldn't. Give me one reason why he was better than ANY of the players on that list?
Canada Hockey Place
I wonder who will end up with more goals Jagr or Selanne? Jagr 669 goals in 1359 games. Selanne 667 goals in 1356 games. Both with 4 goals in 12 games so far this season. Both 42 years old. As of tomorrow. Jagr is currently tied for 10th all-time in goals. Selanne at 12th. Langdon Algur
I guess being a point per game guy (and 30 goals pa) for nearly 20 consecutive years whilst playing and leading a poor team counts for nothing? Twice as many games as Bure and twice as many points. Take away Bure (and I could add others too)
SkeeterHansen
That's a ridiculous list. Great names. I don't really disagree with any of it, although I think Selanne should be one or two places higher.
