brewdog
Looks very likely that Chicago and Vancouver will both finish somewhere in the top 3. That could set the stage for a nice Conference final. I just hope the Canucks don't cruise into 1st with all the points they gain in the Northwest division, and then run into a high-energy, gritty 8th seed that makes the leap from 9th to 8th on the last day of the season. I'd rather see them finish 3rd and play a 6th seed that slumped out of 4th.
pwnstar
The western conference final of the decade if so.....
Lancaster
As exciting it will be and considering how you gotta beat the best to be the best... I'd still rather the Canucks go up against some team they could eliminate within 5 games. Winning a slugging match against the Hawks to only be knocked out the next round accomplishes nothing. canuck_trevor16
one thing for sure in a chicago/Vancouver series is the reffing will be against Vancouver
Sugar baby watermelon
I would love to see the Hawks get upset by someone in the first round. How's this for a scenario... Canucks and Hawks finish 1-2 in the conference. The Oilers squeak into the playoffs and knock off the Hawks in the 1st round setting up a 2nd round Canucks - Oilers matchup. Riviera82
There's a chance we might not see Chicago for a long time. The fact we had 3 straight years of playoff matchups with them is extraordinary in itself, all things considered.
goalie13
Haha there is no way the Oilers make the playoffs & no way that if they did upset the Blackhawks, that's years away if at all!!!
73 Percent
I'm looking forward to the game on the 19th @ Chicago, hoping the Canucks can pull off a win in their building. Let's see how both teams are doing by the half way mark.
gizmo2337
Any playoff series with CHI, BOS, NYR would be awesome. I have a feeling we will see CHI in round 3. That's my call, and I'm sticking to it.
suolucidir
Could be, but it would likely have to be a conference finals match.
'NucK™
so you've already counted Chicago as president trophy winner and us 2nd? dude both teams could end up anywhere in the standings
thad
I'd love it. This is the best rivalry for us that I've seen in my lifetime(I'm 27 so if there was a good one in early 90s I didn't understand the game as well then) I wanna see us even it up with them in the conference finals 2 and 2 then we go on to win the cup... Then when realignment happens, somehow they pick Chicago over Det and Columbus and we break the tie winning our second cup against them in the finals haha
