Kyosama
Jets trade a 7th round pick to Pittsburgh for Eric Tangradi. https://twitter.com/...806925669093377 EDIT: Haha, apparently I was too excited to write more information in the thread title. Any way to edit titles?

Angry Goose
Less boring, more trades.
theminister
Yeah, well, if you can't succeed when given an opportunity to play next to Crosby or Malkin then you pretty much lose all value.
Jägermeister
Tangradi isn't that good, but he could still be a decent 3rd or 4th liner. Surprised he couldn't have fetched more.
86Viking
wow 6'4 224ln 24yr old former 2nd round pick who hasnt been given a fair shot in the laegue yet goes for a 7th rounder. I woulda traded for him too, good depth for the farm at the very least, he seems like a power forward maybe a late bloomer that could turn into a solid 3rd or 4th liner with his size he has shown the ability to put up alright numbers in the AHL

theminister
I didn't know having two games on a line with Malkin and not succeeding makes you a bust.. Wouldn't be surprised if he turned out to be a guy like Bernier with a bit better hands
Otis
He had more chances than that last year. I wouldn't call him a bust either just that he had no more use to Pittsburgh. More than likely they just wanted to shed his contract so that they can offer a UFA a deal in the next few days. I was able to view him twice this year with WBS and he did noting to establish himself in either game.
Kyosama
I wonder if he'll be in the lineup against his old team on Friday?
WHL rocks
Highest bid doesn't always get the player. Its not common for GM's to notify the entire league when they make a certain player available. Many times its just a GM picking up the phone and calling a buddy to ask for certain player. theminister
Would the Penguins be interested in Petr Sykora again ?
Edlerberry
He wouldn't be good depth for the farm. PIT was going to waive him, but traded him instead as some teams were interested in picking him up. Winnipeg obviously was the highest bidder. Rey
At one point, Tangradi was considered the best prospect in hockey with a 8.5B on Hockey Futures. Another reason why people shouldn't base everything off what they read. Tangradi always had skating problems, but for whatever reason found ways to produce in and that skyrocketed his value. He's not a NHL player right now, but he's still young. Big power forwards don't usually get the NHL game until their late 20's, so it's not a complete bust yet. Pittsburgh rushed him, guy could use some time developing again. Now rather than being forced to play in a scoring role, the jets can be patients with him and slot him in a bottom six role. n00bxQb
They outbid someone with a 7th? More like he called around and the first one who said deal got him.
SOB for MVP
Kid still has potential. I know he didnt perform with Crosby and Malkin, but I hope a change of scenery will spark his career
