Not sure if DJ Dave reads this, but if so, I have a question.
In the video that was posted when Project NU2 first started, you said that Where The Streets Have No Name isn't going anywhere and I believe somewhere on the site it said that it will still be used in rotation (which I haven't heard yet, but maybe I missed it). So I was wondering - once the "new entrance song" is found (though I wish it wasn't even being changed...), will Where The Streets Have No Name still be used "in rotation" or is it completely gone and the alternate song will be played at every home game?

PS - Gilman said it best! WTSHNN stirs emotions!

Since it seems the organization is so adamant to get rid of U2 and I've seen Muse mentioned a few times already, I have no idea how no one has brought Knights of Cydonia up. Not the highest quality instrumental of it, but I think it'd be great with the air raid siren and everything. Starting around 3:39, players stepping out at 3:54.

Vancouver Canucks@VanCanucks
Project NU2 update: @Nickelback and @gunsnroses are neck and neck in Canucks intro song voting. http://bit.ly/VbRuPy

Ugh. I voted for GnR just to help make sure it isn't Nickelback

Who is choosing these songs? :picard:

Japandroids - Good song, but not for an opening pump up song

Static in the Stars - Just no.

Burn it to the ground - Good song for the Flames, not for us.

Welcome to the Jungle - Too cliche

A warrior's call - Fake metal garbage

Stockholm - Maybe if they hand out glow sticks and turn Rogers Arena into a dance party

These are all garbage. Please just stick with U2 if these are the alternatives.

Is it so hard to just pick a cool classic rock song and be done with it?

how about this song?

It meets all the criteria set out by the team and its a great song that i tweaked just for the Canucks entrance, this song will not be heard in any other arena. Were a local band and would love you support!

Why we're scrapping u2 is beyond me. Nickelback will make us the laughing stock of the league

I'd go with "Sabotage" by the Beastie Boys....oh wait that's the song I'd use for the Ref's skate out song.

Are the canucks still playing dynamite by taio cruz after their wins?
Wouldn't that be a great start give them the idea that positive energy from winning at the start of the game. start with a little swagger and then win. thoughts? should it be preserved for the post game tradition or used to start

“Since the beginning of recorded history, which is defined by the invention of writing by the Sumerians around 6,000 years ago, historians have cataloged over 3700 supernatural beings, of which 2870 can be considered deities.

So next time someone tells me they believe in God, I’ll say “Oh which one? Zeus? Hades? Jupiter? Mars? Odin? Thor? Krishna? Vishnu? Ra?…” If they say “Just God. I only believe in the one God,”

I’ll point out that they are nearly as atheistic as me.I don’t believe in 2,870 gods, and they don’t believe in 2,869.”

I like the song, "Drop it", by Sporty.

An alternate option would be, as you all know, "Gangnam Style". Just play the chorus part of it. The atmosphere would be epic.

Here's a few more songs by Disturbed that I think would fit nicely

Inside the Fire:

In my eyes drouin is overrated he can score in the qmjhl but did nothing in last two gold medal games that canada lost. Fox will be better pro than him talk to me in five yrs

ryan kesler is going to the chicago blackhawks ...       quote me on it
