Smashian Kassian
You hate to see this happen, I feel bad for the Sens, no Karlsson or Spezza, likely atleast until the playoffs. (if they even make it) They are in big trouble.
Duodenum
Tough luck for Karlsson and the Sens. Looked like he was well on his way to a second straight Norris trophy.
gmen81
Don't think that was intentional at all. It sucks for Cooke, because since it was him everyone will speculate that it was done on purpose. I don't even think the Cooke from 3 years ago would have done that play. Nas19
That was NOT intentional. You're either daft or bias if you think it was. After all the work Cooke has done to change his game do you guys really think that all of a sudden he would go out on a shift and think, "Hey I'm going to go and severe Karlsson's Achilles tendon." Or, "I'm going to go and step on Karlsson's leg." Even the old Cooke wouldn't do that.
Rey
He's probably the best player in the NHL right now. Too bad..
hockeyville88
Awful news for the Sens Hope Karlsson recovers well. He should wear those Kevlar socks that Bieksa has worn since his injury. Did not look intentional on the part of Matt Cooke though..

brewdog
Terrible blow. Hope he recovers ok. Might be time for someone to design a wraparound shin pad.
Salmonberries
I think it was probably just instinct on the Cookers part. It was just Cooke Cookeing. The man can't help himself.

Nuxfanabroad
The pro-Pittsburgh US media will suggest sneaky Karlsson was trying to 'DULLEN' Matt Cooke's blade... God help us if this 'accident' were caused by a Vancouver skater. There'd be a UN tribunal for ICE-crimes.
Primus099
as dirty as Cooke is I think that was an accident, not like he did what Chris Simon did to Ruutu
