regardless of what the guy thinks, the woman in this case is at fault morally. the kids are innocent.

in the end, if the kids see you as the father, that may be enough for most people. but I can see why some men will walk away.

guys, raise kids on your own risk. these kinds of story are a big part of human history. the fact that sperms from 2 different men will kill each other in the womb goes to show you that it is a fact of life for human existence. H sapiens are not strict monogamous creatures.

Women are also evolved to prefer producing children with fitter and stronger males, but having them raised by more resourceful men (it's really better for their genetic lineage and prospects that way), and men in turn get into a fit of jealous rage over cheating women as a defence against it. Thank god for DNA technology to foil this deception game. Now not only is it a defeat for this guy to have his wife sneak other men's children under his care, but the ultimate insult to injury to be legally obligated to continue to support them financially.

If DNA testing can be used to get a man on the hook for child support, it should also work the other way and get a man off the hook as well.

Out of curiosity, if the roles had been reversed would the woman have been forced to pay the spousal support? E.g. if children were from prior relationship

If she were the non-custodial parent and she met the test for standing in loco parentis, yes.

To err is human - but to really screw up you need a computer.

Always listen to experts. They'll tell you what can't be done and why. Then do it.

Object of contempt???

You may want to "free your hands" but society through Parliament, the provincial legislatures and the courts says otherwise based on very basic principles. Status as a parent does not depend solely upon biology but rather standing in loco parentis regardless of the father's lack of knowledge (fault/morality), the cheating spouse (fault/morality) is irrelevant and the overarching principle is the best interests of the children.

Clearly the best move is to never risk being in loco parentis.

Just be a douchebag that sleeps around and doesn't commit to relationships.

Good job law.

Like a woman is going to not end up with custody.

She would have to be one hell of a negligent crack addict to loose custody. And even then no promises.

It's not right at all, but I'm talking more about alimony, that is Kinda bs, she cheated on you and now you are divorced and you still gotta support her.

Even if it was arranged where he pays for child care while she is at work.

Instead of getting upset and confronting the wife the clear lesson is to just stop worrying about fault yourself and simply have some fun with life.

After all, and the end of the day, it doesn't matter.

Worst case scenario you end up paying 70% to the wife? Sounds like the best excuse to go on welfare ever to me....

That would require men be represented equally on the matter with more objective considerations than one-sided, myopic biases.
