Manny Malholtra will miss remainder of the season.

Hopefully it's nothing serious and there are no bigger issues involved.

He was a big part of the regular season success that year, not so much the cup run. He only played 6 playoff games and wasn't nearly as effective after that eye injury.

I hope Manny is doing ok, all the best to his family. Manny needs to have a position or something within our organization even if he decides not to play next season. His leadership skills, face off skills, and veteran role will be missed greatly on our team especially on the PK..

Big loss for the Canucks. Game 7 and you want to win a defensive zone faceoff in overtime, we no longer have that. Also brings leadership to the team. May not look like it but a big loss.

Support goes out to Manny and his family. Hope he stays with the Canucks and is able to be around the team a bit this year.

Not a big loss. All he is anymore is leadership and a voice in the room.

And he still provides that even though he is injured

I'm torn up about this.

However, on ice or not, his influence will be felt for years to come. He's one outstanding person in skill, heart & character.

Very sad news. He wasn't the same player after his injury.

I expect him to retire after the season and join the coaching staff. He is probably not retiring now for cap and salary reasons.

Malholtra and Kesler were huge for our faceoffs that year. We were number 1 or 2 in the league basically because of those two guys. Sucks not having either right now.

Has to be his eye. Very sad day. Manny was great for the team and community. If this is ineed the end of his carrer I hope the Canucks keep Manny in the organization.

This is terribly sad news. He was a big reason for the run in 2011.

He's almost completely blind in that eye, one of my teachers went to the game against the flames and he said that behind the play Manny cut in to turn on his blind side and almost wrecked a guy, didn't even see him

Poor guy. Hopefully he enjoys his new imminent role as faceoff coach.

this really hurts why? because Ebbertt is on the team and on the PK until Kesler official returns
