They have $6M in cap space now, but have to re-sign a lot of players next year.Gardiner is their only D signed next year besides Phaneuf, Komisarek and Liles.MacArthur, Kadri and Bozak are all up for new contracts this summer and may get raisesKomarov might stay the same on his new contract, and Orr and McLaren aren't going to cost much if re-signed Considering the raises they might be giving players, that might use up all the free space they gain from Connelly going to UFA. If they don't send some cap back for a player in O'Reilly that might be asking for $4-5M, then it might cause some cap issues for them next season. It's probably not an issue, but it would rule them out of the market for any established goalie help if they feel they need it, especially with Reimer recently injured.
