I leave my wife hanging to watch the game. The only time I miss parts of a game is if my daughter needs me. But I live in the eastern time zone so very rarely does she need me past 10pm lol

But in all fairness she doesn't care that i watch te game. She knows during Canucks and Tottenham matches to just hang out and have fun watching the games. She plays her Facebook games. Thank the Internet lord for bubblewitch and castleville

I plan around the games, and if I go out when a game is on, it's to watch the game somewhere

Some memories you can't really miss (Deb, really? At a wedding? I wanna facepalm but I don't want warnings :P)

Yep. But, in my defense, it was a cousin that I don't really care for....had to go as part of "the family". With that, it was during the reception and we had the sound down with the TV on the table. But I caught every second of the game.

No worries, I'm facepalming myself. But it was worth it.

It usually depends on the situation. I mean if it's a playoff game, no way in hell am I missing the game. If it's a less important game, I will go out with my friends, as I don't want to always be putting the Canucks ahead of my own life. I will also skip Canucks games in order to actually play hockey. Luckily most of my friends also like the Canucks, so usually I can just watch the games with them, especially during the playoffs. But I do tend to be selective about who I watch with, no one wants to watch the game when you can't hear the TV because the guy next to you is rambling on about stupid crap.

I do, but only when it's on TV and I don't have to do some illegal watching on the computer.

EDIT: I'm in Winnipeg and none of my friends like the Canucks, so it isn't that fun to watch with them. I've always preferred watching games by myself because I get more emotionally attached. It's weird.

Hell yeah, I got alot of buddies who like to play their guitars while I'm watching the game. And I'm the kinda guy who likes his commentary (shout out to shorty). So now I watch the games with the wifey, she's down for regular season games & can't play a single instrument!

I do this all the time! My friends think I am crazy but they know better now to question my love of all things Canucks. I can't really watch games with my friends because the only other person I know who loves hockey like I love hockey is a Flames fan :picard: And so I tend to either schedule around the Canucks Schedule or I force my friends to watch Canuck games with me even if they dislike hockey. I tend to miss like three games a season because I am attending anime conventions but I always try and look up the highlights. Probably the only other thing I would miss a game for (and really this is just a period) is to watch The Walking Dead! I blame Daryl for this

That's why I bought every season on dvd. Plus, it's usually on tv at around 10:00 right after games, so no need to leave friends alone.

I am currently seeking a 12 step program for this, but no success so far.

The first step is admitting you have a problem. That being said, I see no problem with what you are doing...

I never miss a game under any circumstances and if I'm nowhere near a TV, Shorty or Ball is telling me what's happening on 1040 am.

I'd miss the game to hang out with my friends in a heartbeat. Most of my friends aren't hockey fans, they wouldn't watch the game with me and there's nothing wrong with that.

Seriously guys, you can afford to miss a few games over the season to hang out with friends instead. Ditching friends to stay home is pretty brutal.

Ummm.....No.

All my close friends would understand or watch it with me.
