He didn't blow away nearly every scoring recored because he was "hyped"... While it's impossible to say any one player is the greatest people can choose who their greatest player is. Each one of these guys had their own strengths and weaknesses and (most) played in different eras of the NHL. Orr, Gretzky, Lemieux, Esposito, all these guys are legendary players and there's no need to attempt to devalue one player to praise another.
