Both IM & Rush have a very complex style, also led by great bass players. Back on topic. Is there really any bands nowadays that bring out the energy that this genre had. The shows were infact shows. Bare breasted women and a live in the now attitude. I'm still in my twenties so I still go to a lot of shows but the acts that preform nowadays seem to lack the energy. Still great shows but seeing AC/DC when I was twelve (I think it was Ballbreaker tour) and seeing them last year, it was night and day. I know AC/DC is NOT hair metal but just using them as an example. Maybe the venues have gotten too stuffy *cough *cough Rogers Arena.
