Oshie could've shot a beachball through Luongo's legs and it would've went in on that shootout goal.

Oshie usually dekes a lot, thought he was going too that's why Lu was so wide open, Oshie surprised him good Lu didn't even react

Where is the bang for our buck(defensive wise)?

We spend more on our top 3 dmen than the Blues spend on all theirs.

Schneider bad game. Luongo mediocre game and lulzworthy first shootout goal. There can only be one to start next game.

Call up Lack. Injury or not. Lack for president.

More like schnieder bad game luongo terrible game.... he played really crapy and obviously didn't care enough to make any attempt in the shoot out. I can understand he thought oshie was gonna deke but that's no excuse to not even move

I laughed at Luongo getting frozen by Oshie. But he wasn't 'bad'. Schneider played a worse game, the screened one was the only "meh" goal. Still very mediocre night for Luongo though. Sucks that our goalie needs to be on to win. Average goaltending = loss. Or any team not a crapty NW team = loss apparently.

That pretty much sums up the teams overall performance. They had some flashes of brilliance here and there but failed to sustain it.

Lu gives them the shootout holy cow... :sadno: the word dumb a.s.s comes to mind, they should try to practice the shoot out more
8 games this year have lead to a loss or going to a shootout/ot game, which means we can't play 60 minutes of hockey. Just poor,
take away our division games this year and Vancouver isn't a good team

The Canucks don't have (nor ever had) that "killer instinct".

Credit to the Blues for a hard fought game... Can't win em all. PP worked good (50%) I think. Garri looked better than he has... (still needs to get his shots off).. but they don't seem to be giving him chances to succeed. Would be nice if we could have gone on the road with a win at home but I bet we will have a little more jump next game.

If Burrows hadn't got that breakaway in OT we might have won.

He second guessed himself in the shootout cause he already used his go to move.

Don't fool yourself Burrows, you're not scoring any other way in the shootout.

not sure i woulda picked him, higgy, hanson, volpatti

Its funny how last game everyone was all over Schneider, saying he cost us the game.

Then Lu has a sub-par preformence of his own and its all the refs fault.

They were bad early but made up for it as the game went on. They were worse last game, its not there fault we lost.

ive been a luongo supporter but that shootout goal was terrible and laughable

It was bad. He may have guessed wrong because Oshie is known for deking in shootouts but regardless it still looked funny how he didn't even move and there was enough space to drive a bus through there. Lol whatever happens to the best of em. Not like we would've won anyways with our poor shooting % in shootouts.

It was one period. We still have most points than STL and LAk, and if we win tonight we will be tied with Boston.

And we have been pushing to get bigger in the top 6 either way, and I would say with Booth & Kassian we have done so effectively.

Yah Kass, moved it to PGT instead.

I didn't all of a sudden say we need to get bigger because of 1 period. This has been a problem for years, 1 period , 1 game etc...

MG got a 21 year old Kassian last year and he could barely stick on the team. Sat for deciding game in playoffs. He is not the answer just yet. Kassian is best suited for 3rd or 4th line, I've been saying this since before the season started and its even more clear now.

Clearly he has been struggling on the 2nd line. Last game he was responsible for the Dallas game winner, (lost his check and gave up on the play for Dillon's game winner). Today he cost the team with a terrible pass/turn over which cost a goal.

Booth has done nothing to impress me. He failed miserably in the playoffs last year.

This team needs a legit top 6 winger with size and toughness for the Sedins or the 2nd line. Kassian needs to go one the 3rd line at best.

Higgins, Burrows, Raymond are not the answer to another playoff run.

So what we lost, big deal.
Like someone above said, if Raymond didn't score, we wouldn't have even gotten a point (Be thankful haters).
Power play looked good.
Kesler looks very good.
We'll get it back together, and what better way then to break Chicago's historical regulation streak.

I really don't get it. Burrows can still beat goalies with that move even if they know it's coming, yet he still doesn't try it at times.

As for Luongo.. a very mediocre game. Much like Luongo of last year. Him and Schneids need to get their s*** together moving forward.

If teams keep playing Kesler like they did tonight, he's not gonna make it to the playoffs. He was targeted all night.

Edler was just brutal all game. He needs to get it together, or Ballard and Tanev should take his minutes.

Garrison is being underutilized completely on this team. He was brought in for his shot. The powerplay needs to revolve around that. Work with him till he gets it right, don't just bench him...

Luongo wasn't as bad as Schneider. The screen goal was the only one really blah one. The shootout was hilarious. Our team can't win unless the goalie is playing good. Mediocre or bad games is almost always a loss. We can't outscore it for some reason. Ever.

Sub par? Hardly....average maybe...

Yes...I'm all over Schneider - he's supposed to be the started yet it's flip a coin to decide how well he plays...stats don't lie.

Before tonight, Luongo was leading in GAA....Schneider wasn't leading in anything except bad games...

Luongo wasn't great in this game at all.. but we got a point out of it, I was expecting a loss to be honest. This team is pathetic at shootouts, nothing new here. Most AHL teams can probably beat us as it anyways, we have almost no one that can score in SOs, or are too slow and predictable.

On to the next game.
