Eh? You misread my posts. Nowhere did I advocate trading Hansen.
I disagreed with your statement that other teams don't think he has value.
What I was saying was, if you read it again, Hansen--->Cheap, Good meaning he has a lot of value. Therefore, keep him.
I know what you are saying and you must have misread my post. Do you think another team is giving up a significant piece for him? If another team has a player that brings to the table what Hansen does, do you think they would give him up for Hansen? Other teams may want him and place value on him but talk is cheap and 2nd rounder and B level prospect is not in the stratosphere of value to give up Hansen for.
Which teams holds so much Value for Hansen that they would be willing to give up something greater than Hansen to get him is the question I pose to you.
Would Philly give up Simmonds?
Do the Ducks Give up Winnik?
Do the Senators Give up Neil?
Do the Hurricanes give up Dwyer?
Do the Stars give up Ryder?
You think any of these guys could be had for a 2nd and B prospect while their teams are still in the playoff picture?
Who is willing to part with a piece of their puzzle to acquire a piece of the Canucks?
If the Canucks could get a guy like Hansen for a 2nd and B prospect they would be all over that in a heatbeat, because they are contenders. But contenders don't give role players away for future improvement only rebuilding teams do that.
