DonLever
If she killed herself, how did she manage to close the hatch behind her? Its murder if you ask me.
Mr. Ambien
Check her laptop for messages from a boyfriend. She either met a guy online or she knew a guy who moved there who told her to come visit him in Santa Cruz. Its the reason she went alone. Last seen Jan 31 by hotel staff. Seen Feb 1st in the elevator scene. Something happened the night of Jan 31st between her and her bf. Whether it be hallucigenic agents, delirium (of which if it is, something must have induced it), or she was straight up running for her life. Bf dumps body. Missing for 18 days while the bf has vanishes into thin air. Maybe theres a trace, just a name (although it may be fake) Of course, I'm only giving one scenario. Mr. Ambien
In light of the toxicology results turning up nothing it might be weeks or months before we find out what happened unless there's a break in the case elsewhere.

GLASSJAW
Meanwhile, an autopsy performed Thursday failed to tell authorities whether Lam was killed or fell in some kind of bizarre accidents. Coroner’s officials said they would wait for toxicology test results before making a final determination.
The Bookie
zaibatsu, maybe you're mixing up the tests done on the hotel's water with the blood work? the coroner was interviewed on cbc yesterday afternoon and he said that the system in LA was backed up to the point that even pushing this case through would take a minimum of 4-6 wks, but more likely 6-8wks. before results on blood toxicology. Down by the River
As others mentioned, it seemed like the video footage had been chopped up. It is also odd that Lam was able to get to the rooftop on her own without security alarms going off. Maybe someone associated with the hotel was involved in the death? Blue90
I read somewhere that LAM ELISA is the name of the test for TB. Hasn't there been a TB outbreak in LA's skid row? http://www.antibodies-online.com/kit/455710/Lipoarabinomannan+LAM+ELISA/ http://www.torontosun.com/2013/02/23/los-angeles-health-officials-concerned-about-tuberculosis-outbreak-on-skid-row Time for me to put on my tin foil hat? MillerGenuineDraft
This is one of those stores where certain friends and family know more than they should and are simply afraid of speaking up. This is going to sound so cliche, but the truth will come out eventually.

DonLever
Quite often the police know who killed who but for a lack of evidence can't lay charges that stick. And Miss Lam may have a past that the media does not know of but families and friends do. And if it is something like mental illness, it will be well kept in the family because there is a strong stigma against mental illness in Asian families. DonLever
CKNW has reported that Elisa Lam death is NOT Foul Play. But then another report say that is untrue. http://www.calgaryhe...2631/story.html This report deny that foul play has been ruled out. So what is it? Some sloppy news reporting here. Seguin
If the official reports come out as non foul play, and it is an "accident", I would not believe it one bit. From what other posters also said, there is no way this is an accident. How did she go through lock doors, alarmed doors to the roof top? How does she get into the tank "accidently" and be able to close it? How do you explain her actions in the elevator? It doesn't add up to be an accident. Also if you look closely at the video of her in the elevator, when she steps out and appear to turn around and walk away, you can see another foot.
