This Luongo guy is pretty good for a backup, wonder if he can be a starter some day.

Just watching the team congratulate Lu...then there was this noticeably smallish guy. Looked it up...it appears Schroeder is the shortest, the lightest and the youngest and he's already making an impact. If he keeps up Sedin like work ethic it should be interesting how far and valuable he gets. Oddly enough when he's on the ice making plays he doesn't look that small.

I'll take Schroeder over a talentless pylon. His short stature may be a bit of a disadvantage but guys like Brion Gionta prove that you don't necessarily need to have the size or height if you have enough skill and hockey IQ to compensate for that. Schroeder has the potential to do that, so hopefully he overcomes the height disadvantage.

Glad they weiseled a win in Nashville. Would've been choked to see the boys lose after wasting so much time watching that snoozefest.

This was one of the more uninteresting games so far this season. No surprise though. Good thing they got the win, however yawn it was. More action to come when the visit the Wings. It'll be a whole different game, and one of the few early games all year.

Pretty dull game, but the W is nice. Great game for Lu and the D were alright tonight! Was real nice to see Weise get that game winning goal. Hardest working Nuck and he deserved the recognition.

To all the Lu/Cory 'tards: One of these guys will be traded at some point. Cheering against them or hoping for failure is really stupid. It is in the Canucks best interest that they both do well so that whoever is traded gets a good return. It's a great dilemma for this team to have two #1 goalies. We will probably never see this again. Enjoy it while it last and be thankful for a great return that one of them brings.

Real fans cheer for the TEAM.

Here here.

Almost as bad are those that want to be IBTL (In Before The Losers). You know the ones that want to jump the gun to predict how the other side is going to react if goalie x had a bad night. Or how the other side will dismiss the effort of goalie y if he wins the game. That really does not help.

There should be no sides. Like you said we should cheer for every player who is on the team. I think Schneider is the best choice as our permanent #1 going forward, based on his ability, contract, and age. That doesn't mean I don't think Lu is a top quality regular season goalie, and even if he did have an off night that opinion wouldn't change. He was stellar tonight.

There's worse things for a team than having 2 top goalies. We could be Islander fans and be watching Depietro being waived into the minors with 8 years left on his massive 15 year contract.

Anyways, boring game. It was a massive relief when Weise scored. Even just to force Nashville to open up a bit and make it interesting.

Here's hoping Bieksa's injury isn't too severe.

2 points is never a bad thing, but MAN was that game ever boring. Canucks @ Redwings will be a freaking treat after this snooze fest.

I'm loving this scoring depth we've had so far this year. 5-way tie for team lead in goals between Daniel, Bieksa, Raymond, Kassian, and Burr and every player who is regularly on the roster except for Ballard and Booth have scored at least one. Great to see. Luongo now in first place for GAA.

Lol only on CDC

Luongo posts a shutout and people still find a way to knock him saying "he wasn't that busy" or he snoozed his way to the SO"

Regardless of what people say Luongo has been the most consistent Canuck this season and arguably the best goaltender in the League this season

Yes there are some very sick puppies on these boards. Lu is too good for our fans.

Oh and kudos to AV for finding a way to trump the Predators style...........or lack of it.

Most boring game ever! How does Nashville sell tickets?

Exactly what I thought. 22nd straight sellout? Really? Must be some $0.99 tickets in that town.

I wont downplay Luongo's shutout, they hardly ever come easy and we dont win in reg time without it. On the other hand, 23 shots isn't that much and the Preds aren't exactly an offensive juggernaut. I guess my point is that there is merit for both arguments but not as much regarding the "ease" of Luongo's shutout tonight.

No, there is no merit for this being an easier game. Homeboy schnoo doesn't need people to make Luongo's shutouts look miniscule.
