Barker? Vandermeer? Or Alberts?

I think Barker because they have similar style....

I forgot about Alberts. It's weird how the defense man aren't rotating much this year. I

Ballard isn't in the doghouse (is actually playing extremely well) and Tanev has earned his spot on the team. That would explain it.

And the other d-men all get a free pass regardless to how they play.

Agree. I really hate seeing all those cutesy passes they all try. Like Bieksa tonight.

The other dmen have been playing pretty decently, if they aren't putting up points they are doing a good job defensively or vice versa. Would be nice to get them all being defensive stalwarts and putting up sick numbers, they are all capable of it but the bad play of the Canucks D has been really overstated on these boards.

They play the Red Wings next. Barker will get the call as the D will need to stay mobile compared to the physicality that Alberts would offer some team like Anaheim or Boston

I would assume that the lines will be:
Edler - Tanev
Hamhuis - Ballard
Garrison - Alberts

I want to see Barker play but Alberts is always there. I wonder why we don't trade him to Philly for something? They like big players that hit.

Looking forward to seeing Barker, he's refocused, injury free, in the best shape he's been in and taking things seriously. Alberts deserves some ice time too, I think this team is strongest its ever been in D (regardless of the horrible start by the TOP 4)

Barker shoots left and so does Alberts.

Edler Tanev
Barker Hamhuis
Ballard Garrison

AV should give them both 1 game tryout each and then decide who fits better.

Why people read signatures:
  • It is an acceptable way to stare at women.
  • Allows people to have a counter-argument by insulting what is in a persons signature (pooh-pooh fallacy).
  • Allows people to show that they like a man and they put colourful things around the picture of a man(usually a hockey player :P).
  • To watch a funny GIF or a funny pic.
  • Funny Quote or Saying
So I have no clue why are you reading my signature!

I wish we could call up Corrado, he's a right handed shot and doing great in the OHL for Kitchener.

Barker pls lets get him some games in a nucks uni so he can at least prove how bad he is. Or otherwise prove me wrong he has nothing to loose every team has given up on him or we wouldn't have been able to get him. I for one would be over the moon happy if he could show some value. Now is his Last chance to show he can be an nhl player. If we bring Alberts up we could lose him when he goes back down. If we send Barker back down he's down for good no one will want him including the Canucks. I will be cheering for him to at the very least not be a liability. Sorry Barker if that's the best you get. Everyone loves an underdog but you were a top dog who became a complete write off. its a hard road back to the top.

I think Barker deserves a chance. He's only 26, at a time were he should be entering his prime, he's healthy, and fit. Give him a shot. He's a proven offensive player.

Players Nikolaj Ehlers have been compared too by the fan base of the Vancouver Canucks.

1 Pavel Bure

2 Markus Naslund

3 Nathan Mackkinon

4 Jonathan Drouin.

5 Jonathan Tavares

combine results.  Ehlers 5'11 162 lbs of solid rock.

I like Vandermeer's toughness...
Vandermeer / Barker is a very good 3rd pair, I think even better than Ballard / Tanev.

Ur kidding right. In no possible way does Vader /Bark no bite bring better game than Ballard Tanev (nucks best d pair this season). ur Talking 2 legit Nhl d vs 2 depth NHL D. I hope they bring a good game but displacing Ballard Tanev is a very long shot.

Hamhuis - Ballard
Garrison - Alberts

Would rather see:

Edler - Tanev
Hamhuis - Garrison
Ballard - Alberts

From what I remember Ballard and Alberts were a reliable, physical bottom pairing.
