Typical Luongo.

Shutout against a zero offense team.

Get's lit up like a tree vs a good team.

Lets look at the good thing about this game here.....hmmmmmmmmmmm.............ummmmm........ Dank got two goals. Higgy got a nice goal and .Kassian Kass looked a lot better in tonight's game. The call was crap and its kind of a shame that more people are discussing that then the fact that he had a nice scoring chance. Then the coward Tootoo takes a run at Tanev and what does Kass do he stands up for Tanev. This is really good guys! I will take a loss against Detroit and have a prime example of how this team should react when some goon goes after one of our players any day! Also I like how Kass also was lippy towards the refs yes it cost the team cause he took a penalty but at least he did something about the disgusting officiating. AV should give his head a shake, he should be the one standing up (take the fine) to the NHL. He also should have pulled Lu after the 2nd I do not see why he did not put Schenids in.

How many spots did Lui fall on the goalie stats ranking?

Down to 10th in GAA at 2.11
Down to 19th in Save% at .916

Anyone else think the Nucks were staging a bit of a protest on the ice? I half expect to see MG make a stink, however I wouldn't be surprised if he starts leaking stories to the press about how batcrap the reffing is. Also, Lu doesn't like to see his numbers get shot to crap but if they're really looking at trading Cory at this point, this game alone would have destroyed his value.

I don't expect this to have an effect on anyone's confidence.

Due to the embarrassing beating the Canucks just took from the Wings, we will have not 1 but 2 PGT's to vent our frustrations.

Kirk: Maybe he's not out there, Bones. Maybe he's right here. [points to his heart]

Luo's stats are down the drain now LOL. wonder what that one Luongo lover is going to say now.. he can't point to "THE STATS....LOOK AT HIS STATS.HIS STATS DONT LIE". anymore.

Anyways, Luongo was hung out to dry tonight, certainly a few bad goals but the team as a whole sucked. Don't understand why AV kept Luo in the whole game, absolutely no reason for that unless Schneider was indeed sick as one poster suggested. How we come out so flat once again in the 2nd period is concerning.. 2 ???? shots are you kidding me???.

Luongo still has better stats. :bigblush: And Luongo is entitled to one "forget a game" like Schneider with the first Anaheim game. LUONGO REIGNS SUPREME.

What a joke.

The defense gave Luongo no help to begin with.

Appalling penalties in the second; undeserved penalties.

A complete inability to generate any offense in the second period, like the first period against Nashville on Friday.

Sit Garrison out and put Barker in for a few games.

Oh, and people are going to blame Luongo and only Luongo but as Garry Valk pointed out: The Canucks defense has been slipping with 22 goals against in the last 6 games, and Roberto has played half? those games, so. Learn to analyze properly instead of just blaming the tender you silly bunch of ignorants.

+1 completely agree.

I have no idea why our D has played so poorly this season. Something needs to change, be it a new defensive coach or something else

Luongo played very good for The Refs. I wish we didn't have to play The Refs so much every season. Maybe we should trade (insert taboo canucks player's name) to The Refs for some good calls.

I was almost hoping for a patrick roy spaz attack from luongo so this whole stupid affair would be over and done with. Sick of the controversy sick of everyone on CDC picking sides, also sick of Rick Bowness and Newel Brown and AV.

I can't pick any player on the Canucks and say "this guy played well". The whole team was god awful and there's no one who wasn't at fault.

LOL Luongo goes from #1 in GAA to #10 in a single game.

2.11GAA now ><

Didn't watch the game but seems like the team and Luongo both were terrible.

People need to stop blaming either goalie anyway. Every single game, even Luongo in the playoffs, where the goalie has a bad game, one or both of the offense and defense are EVEN WORSE. Played like crap in Anaheim, played like crap against San Jose, played horrible against Detroit. Our defense is ass. If one injury can seriously do this to our defense, there is no depth or excuse. That was awful.

also, so how about that number 1 defensman of ours? Friggin bambie on ice... and then our shutdown defenseman can't even handle somone along the boards, and our prized off season signing looks like he is skating in quick sand half the time, and take an hour to clear the puck..

You know your screwed when your best dman is an undrafted kid.

1st - All was pretty even.

2nd - All on the refs.

3rd - All was lost. Luo was not great. Offense was out to lunch. D was spotty at best. :(

Time to shake this one off and move on!

AV took apart higgins and lapierre on the penalty kill which was amazing vs nashville and he did not juggle the lines at all to generate a spark, that is poor coaching and i felt sick to my stomach hearing those USA chants.

So Canucks got creamed by Detroits farm team? Detroit was the team who played last night?

Wake up call. I've been saying all season, Canucks have played 15 of 18 games where they've been outchanced. When their goaltending can't steal the game, they will lose. I'm not sure how a team who's supposed to be 'great' gets outchanced almost every game.

Also, AV. If he didn't learn from last yr, he's drunk. Keeping your goalie in when that many goals (10 in all) went past him. No words.

I won't touch the officiating thing, cause all teams are dealing with it. I will say in last 7 games, Canucks have only played 1 of them with more PP opp's than opponent.

Also, Kesler. I feel like I've been disappointed in him for well over a year. I have. His diving at the begging of the game didn't help his team. He's also misreading plays defensivly and not creating offensively. He's been a big disappointment for what seems like a long time.

Love Higgins. He's been the Canucks best 2 way forward for well over a yr, he works his butt off every night. Love it. Also big props to Tanev, I think he's handeled a tougher role really well for a young guy. Unfortunately, he's the only righty d-man left on the entire team.
