Man, I love him!

I hope that's a good indication that he's shaking off that one terrible night and we can look forward to more great nights.

I think it's hilarious,good sense of humor.

Keenan pretty much sais he has no respect for his teamates and was totally inappropriate for him to tweet such a thing after a horrible loss. All the other guys on the panel(SNW Oilers-hawks game) were pretty much agreeing with him.

It's like...Whatever,the guy has a sense of humor, leave him alone. :picard:

It is a joke, and as I always say there is always truth too jokes. This is Lu's way of saying "I know I played crap, and I know I need to be way better next time" Simply put, forget and focus on playing solid next game, that is all you can do and all you should do.

If anyone takes his tweet as LU thinking it as a funny joke and he really doesn't care about letting 8 goals because he is making millions is an idiot

The whole team was off and I think refs were a problem too.

Defense = brutal
Luongo = Off night should have been pulled AV.
Sedins = They did everything almost

Not to mention the whine at Kes's place the night before the hangover sure kicked in after the 2nd :P

Don't know why he's apologizing really. Nobody said that he was gonna have to play goalie on a trampoline instead of an icerink.

That was as close the slam ball version of hockey as I want to get :picard: ::D

He went into last night's game with the best GAA in the entire league.

He doesn't need to change anything. Forget about yesterday's game and move forward with the same approach you've had all year. Good job Lu!

PS I like Luongo. I like Schneider too. This isn't freaking Twilight and were not all 15 year old girls choosing between Team Edward and Team Jacob. It is okay to like both, they're both good goalies.

I agree, but how sad is it that we have to relate our goal-tending to Twilight for people to get off our Goalies back. 10-4-4 isn't what it used to be I guess.

By the way, Schneider is totally the Edward of the Canucks Twilight Saga. Agreed?

Yeah, I knew we'd all see eye to eye.

It sure beats wondering why people did not pump his tires!

I don't see people criticizing him for his lighter side, in fact I've seen the exact opposite.

The majority of people seem to have embraced Luongo's new demeanor.

Yeah well screw those NNW guys and especially Keenan.

I'll take anyone who saying he should have been better / apologizing any day. It gives me the belief some responsibility is part of the mindset ( a past criticism I have had with Lou).

Keenan still owes us a few apologies.

I think it's hilarious,good sense of humor.

No its against the Canucks Laws to have a goal tender that is both funny and skilled. According to Canucks Law section 10 paragraph 8:

"Canucks goal tenders do not have to be either skilled or funny, but under no circumstances may they be both. Canucks goal tenders must instead hide their obvious short comings by picking fights on the ice and posing for pictures with beach balls".

It is also against Canucks law to like both goaltenders. According to Canucks Law section 10 paragraph 3:

"Canucks fans are required to ONLY cheer for their back up goalie, especially when he is performing well and there is unfair pressure on the unofficial starter".

OMG we could've had McKeown!

I think Virtanen was a terrible pick given that he's out for 6 months which will hinder his development. You don't pick someone at #6 under that circumstance, along with the fact that he was given a 3/5 IQ (aka he's dumb).

God dammit Benning. WHY VIRTANEN? Terrible move.

Down by the River - Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young.

Wow a true leader. This guy has ultimate character. Takes the blame for his team leaving him out to dry amd scoring on him multiple times.

Luongo is king.

The NHL is a fixed old boys club. I've come to acceptance with that and just watch for entertainment. The 2011 & 2012 Canucks are champs in my books. Go Canucks Go!

An advertising gimic that fans are suppose to spend a good chunk of their hard earned money on to prove to their friends and family that they are "true hockey fans" cause they own a light red light that goes on (and likely drives the family dog insane) when someone scores.

What's Loluongo supposed to do?

When he was more serious/intense, he was criticized. Now that he's showing a lighter, comedic side.....he's criticized for it.

What will dwelling on it do to help things? Won't change them, so keeping it focused/looking forward is probably a good thing.

nobody is criticizing him for his happy-go-lucky, relaxed new persona. quite the contrary, the entire hockey world has fallen in love with bobbyLu all over again. i for one enjoy this side of luongo, Lu v2.0 because I'm much more confident in a goalie with this type of demeanour than in one that seemed to get rattled very easily. he must be seeing a damn good shrink

I love Bobby Lu and I could care less about the tweet but what really irked me was on the 8th goal. Yes I fully understand the game is over and it's time to get out of town but to throw your shoulders up after you made the first save sent the puck to the corner, stayed on your knees watched the puck get passed out to the slot, still staying on your knees and watching the shot go in, then roll your shoulders like come on guys what the hell while still on your knees. Maybe if he would have got up off his knees he may have made the save maybe not, but to me he gave up and stopped playing. Just my opinion and how I saw it. To me that is not character.

Easy. You just run it through the CDC translator which turns anything any player says into something bad.

The twitter fun has apparently continued....

Strombone@strombone1
Hey @coachironmike if you need any advice figuring out this twitter thing let me know........... Big fan!

Mike Keenan @CoachIronMike
@strombone1 thanks Roberto. I wouldn't have left you in for all 8 in Detroit.

Strombone@strombone1
@CoachIronMike That goes without saying Mike........

Greg Millen@gregmillen
@CoachIronMike @strombone1 your right Mike. You would have left him in for one. Then put him back in then pulled him again. ;)

EDIT: Before anyone gets upset, I better also add...

Mike Keenan @CoachIronMike
Canuck Fans.. AV and I are friends! Hired him for making the cut. Does a great job! Making fun of myself not him!

So glad to see Luo having a calmer attitude and healthy sense of humor this year. Hope he can teach some of the zen to Schneider.

hahahahaha so random

reading that really brightened my day

f***ing Mike Keenan..

why couldn't Luongo have always been this calm, cool, and collected? He's a whole new person towards the media/fans.. he must have really felt the need to act a certain way in his first few years here. So glad he's loosened up the mentality towards his career/situation

People need to lighten up, it's a joke.

As long as getting lit up like that doesn't become a habit I'd say it's pretty harmless. Better to acknowledge you need to be better and joke about it then brood over it.
