Sometimes teams are forced into putting player on waivers due to better options, true, but if a team chooses to go with a smaller player in a role that's traditionally help by larger, tougher players, that does suggest something to their effectiveness. If you want to talk about certain teams having certain needs, then you may want to consider what the Canucks have typically done in a case like this. No way we claim him.
