Normally, the dump and chase help to set up Sedins' cycles and power play opportunities. It's just that in tonight's game, our usual offensive method was not overly effective. Defensive lapses can be attributed as a part of our reason for tonight's loss. This is when we need Bieksa.

They have tried 3 different pp formations so far this season... whats it going to take?

PP time to actually execute and finally click, can't improve the PP getting 1 or 2 PP's a game.

Another worriesome stat: Canucks record is being very much inflated by the increase in games in the weak division. They're 6-0-1 in the NW, but 4-5-2 against all other teams I believe. Not good.

What was with all the solo dashes today? Jesus Canucks, there are 4 other skaters out there with you.

And why does it take us 3 tries to clear the zone.

Schneider was pissed off post game btw. Direct quote:
"I'm getting tired of playing like an average goalie. It's getting ridiculous."

Kesler, Booth, Raymond, Kassian, Higgins, Hansen not even threatening offensively. Emphasis on the first 3. We can't call ourselves a depth team if the depth players aren't going to score.

Schneider may be playing average but that still puts him at a higher performance level than the rest of the team...Tanev excluded.

At this point it's not about better, but different. This team needs a culture change either through trade or coaching. And stop harping on Schneider for letting in weak goals, he's backed up by the King of letting in pathetic goals in Lu.

no one is harping on Schneider. Thing is according to people like you, he don't let in weak goals like Lu because he is better, I thought?

Cory was amazing in the first 10 min, it could have been 3 nothing by the end of the first. This defence needs to get it's head out of it's @ss ! It's an absolute joke right now. If they've tuned out the coach which it looks like they have(or are starting too), than AV needs to go!

they need to get rid of the dead weight conracts soon. The 4 million dollar plus players doing jack crap for us, such as ballard, booth, to some extent Garrison, something's gotta give, something will give.

Don't expect any coaching changes made at least during the summer pending on the result. I can't see A.V still hanging around if they don't get pass round 1.

Players Nikolaj Ehlers have been compared too by the fan base of the Vancouver Canucks.

1 Pavel Bure

2 Markus Naslund

3 Nathan Mackkinon

4 Jonathan Drouin.

5 Jonathan Tavares

http://bleacherrepor...d-top-prospects

combine results.  Ehlers 5'11 162 lbs of solid rock.

what a surprise the cheerleaders are blaming the refs again because they never see any fault in their own team.

I thought the Canucks were the better team for a majority of the game.

Chipchura goal- Brudel defense.

Boedker goal- Bad bounce off Lapierres skate.

Vermette goal- Defence and goalie could have been a bit better on it.

Other thoughts:

- Garrisson and Alberts played well.

- Schneider played solid.

- Edler played bad defense.

- Sedins looked like the Sedins.

- I'd rather have no refs then the ones we have right now.

Schneider looked solid? 3 goals on 21 shots? .857 save percentage...

He had a 0.48 career GAA against the Yotes before this game...

Sorry...though he made a couple of great saves...overall he was just average.

Also, if that is a legit quote, Schneider sounds kind of entitled and conceited.

This is where people are over analyzing in their blame on coaching, this is the sign of players over playing themselves to end a slump. When you have 5 players struggling that want to break that they're going to start doing too much to break the slump which in turn causes the struggle to continue.

I think the next three days off will help them collect themselves and we will see a win over LA on Saturday.

Was hoping one of the defensmen would say this.

Admitting individual blame is a goaltender's specialty. Rarely will a skater take responsibility for a mistake so bluntly like that. It's why goaltending is so tough mentally and it's why there is so much respect for those who do it.

I've been pumping up this team and keeping positive....until now. frack it, this team is so mediocre. The Kings looked mediocre during the regular season last year too but at least it was clear from the get go they had elite goaltending and defense. The Canucks are a lot like the Sharks. The Sharks have Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau leading the way, the Canucks have Henrik Sedin and Daniel Sedin. Neither team has what it takes to win though. They don't have that special something, whatever it is.
