Yes the refs are crap and yes, it doesn't help the Canucks one bit. However is anyone else just finding that whether we win or lose, the quality of hockey this year is way the hell down? I'm actually switching games off part way through because of how ridiculous it is to watch, and I frickin love this team! Plus I used to watch other teams play as well but league-wide, the product has become terrible.

LOL when will AV not get outcoached

I can pretty much tell you for certain that during games he:

Does the least

Interacts with his players the least

Shows the least amount of emotion

And exerts less effort then any other professional coach Ive ever seen or heard of.

Keep telling yourself that.

The goaltending was the main reason.

we aren't playing against eastern teams so travel isn't even as big an issue as it normally is for us in a season

Take a good look.

I honestly think the Canucks should trade Kesler. Probably gonna get flamed for this, but we need a complete roster overhaul and it starts by getting rid of him. Buy out Booth and Ballard trade Luongo (eventually) and go after Semin in free agency.

I don't wish to inflame you with vitriol remarks; however, I do want to counter your point.

Complete roster overhauls are risky, which may end up in acquiring players who have little or no chemistry in the lineup. In addition, a complete roster change decreases the spirit of the fans, who have had faith in the players they have idolized or admired, ever since they were growing up. Sales may plummet, and the team may become dysfunctional.

The best approach towards remedying the problem you've suggested is to give our players opportunities to regain or boost their morale, so that they can play with the usual chemistry we have had within our lineup, hence our winning the Presidents' Trophies and the NW Division Titles.

When it comes to the point the players can provide absolutely no chemistry for the majority of the season, then trades may be processed to bring another player, who can spark the team with a new set of chemistry.

Have you ever seen this guy in the dressing room? Are you a staff, who observes him most of the days, when he is with the players? I'd love to know how you know all of this information. :)

First 2 goals were the result of the 4th line being on the ice at the wrong time. Coaching. They had one good shift. They couldn't win faceoff. Vermette was sensational, out classed the Canucks. Mason Raymond gave up possession of the puck way too much. Edler had trouble pinching and got beat on the outside a lot. Hamuis gave up the puck way too often in our own zone.
Pheonix did a great job of closing passing lanes and getting something in the way of the puck when it went to the net. Phoenix did a great job of pressuring the Canucks in their own zone and Alberts, Tanev and Hamuis had trouble moving the puck to break out.

The sumation is the Canucks got out played at home, just like they do every time they come home from a road trip and play their first game. Solution, tell the wives to hire a nanny for the hockey season, hubby doesn't have time to be soccer mom.

They played the same tonight as they did on the road trip. Gave up too many grade A chances, struggled in their zone when pressured and generated didly squat in offensie pressure.

So tired of the usual excuses a) theylre tired from 4 games in 6 nights B) they're coming off a road trip/first game home c) the refs didn't make any calls and the league hates them d) they didn't get the bounces

They didn't make the effort or pay the price to win the battles. They have no team chemistry or identity and they play with little to no passion or energy. They look like whipped puppies out there. Yes, they are a soft team ...9 hits tonight!!!

Let me ask you a simple question. What was untrue about anything I said in that post?

Where did I dispute anything in your post? I was just remarking on the sorrow you evoked from a hockey game in February.

Every team has its ups and downs. Canucks winning the Presidents' Trophy and having excellent back-to-back seasons is itself an evidence of a full team effort in most of the sets of 82 games they played. :)

Its time for a cup.. Screw the presidents trophy..I don't know whats wrong with our forwards... I feel we got a ton of talent which is not properly utilized and it really shows... Something needs to change in order for this team to wake up. Team laid another big fat egg.

Edit: Lou did less then zack tonight.

When you see effort like they gave in 2010-2011 then watch everything after the boston game last year, its hard for me to say otherwise.

How do you like Booth? lol

Both Booth and Raymond are pissing me off with their suckness....

So, you gave up on the team, simply for the fact they lost in the finals? Or, did you also give up your own car in a parking lot, burning it to flames? :)

Winnipeg (not shown here due to it being outdated) has it worse than we do this year, and they are starting to find their groove. No excuse.

huh?

Also I haven't given up on this team whatsoever. Its just glaringly obvious there is something wrong with it.
If you don't agree thats fine but your example of a car on fire is really irrelevant and out of place.

Well, I thought since you had an obvious, pessimistic mind towards the Canucks, I thought you were pessimistic after the 2011 Finals. :)
It's a shameful moment, indeed. Why don't you uh.... stop trolling for a bit and start thinking positively about your own team? :)

How am I even remotely trolling. You need to go back and look up the definition rather than practicing your pompom waving.
