theminister
I'm not questioning Henrik's leadership one bit. I'm a fan of the Sedins, they are pros' pros, I'm talking about this core as a whole being not good enough to win. And there is no comparison between our current core and the core of the Red Wings of the 90's. That team had what? Atleast 10 HOF players on it? D-Money
And our cap if it's an offer sheet? Who would you trade for O'Reilly that wouldn't leave holes elsewhere in our lineup?
Ossi Vaananen
You have been an advocate of keeping Lou through the year. Has this Kesler injury changed your mind, or is it something else?
elvis15
I don't think Colorado will do O'Reilly for Ballard, thats why I'm suggesting we trade Ballard in a seperate deal for prospect(s) and/or pick(s) to free up cap space and then give ROR Ballard's contract. RyanKeslord17
Problem with Kesler/O'Reilly is they rely too much on hard-work for points. It can only take you so far. They lack natural talent to make their line-mates better. Look at the forward core. Other then Sedins, everyone is a complementary player. Can Burrows carry a line on his own? Higgins? Booth? Raymond? Hansen? I don't think Kesler can either. O'Reilly would have a tough time working with our players too. Canucks lack a natural skilled forward on the 2nd line. Look at Chicago XXXXX-Toews-Hossa Sharp-XXXXX-Kane Two extremely skilled, talented players on the top two lines. Plug anyone you want, and you'll get production. Hence in their case, Saad and Bolland. With the Canucks its basically... Sedin-Sedin-XXXXX XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX Plug anyone with the Sedins, you get good production. But who's the 2nd line anchor? Ray_Cathode
Yah he sure did rush back, coming back 5 months after the expected date is really rushing it. He should definitely sit out until next season just to be sure.
Smashian Kassian
This is what I am hoping for: Daniel - Henrik - Burrows Raymond - Schroeder - Booth Kassian - Higgins - Hansen PInnizzotto - Lappierre - Weise But knowing AV, it will likely be something like: Daniel - Henrik - Burrows Higgins - Lappierre - Hansen Raymond - Schroeder - Booth Weise - Pinnizzotto - Kassian
Ossi Vaananen
Time to shine Schroeds. It's times like this that I wish we had more on our farm, Ebbett/Gordon just doesn't cut it.

Barry_Wilkins
1) Because what we can get in return for him would benefit us more then keeping him 2) Yes the same pair who got Philly a tonne of young talent in return. The same pair who is in decline while locked up for a long term for a lot of money! 30 You are delusional my friend if you think the Canucks can win anything with this current core. Their lack of depth at centre is laughable! There is no way we beat Chicago in a 7 game series whether you like to admit it or not. And if somehow through divine intervention we do make it to the final, There is no way we are beating the likes of Pittsburgh, Boston, Philly or NYR. We were better in 2011 when we failed to win then we are now

RunningWild
Wow. Poor Kesler - this guy has no luck what so ever. But this is also why Canucks need a centre back in a goalie trade. I have zero confidence this guy will ever stay healthy.
StopesisCanucks
time to trade a fricken goalie (Cough cough Schneider)... hopefully we will play like we were before kesler returned.
miles.p
So Kesler was playing injured all this time, and none of the medial staff realized he has a broken foot? I'm sorry but did the Canucks hire the worst medical doctors ever? A broken foot went undiagnosed for 5+ games? Great job guys. Really.
