stawns
well, worst case scenario, they fall from playoff contention and get a moderately high pick in a very very deep draft, then come back strong next season.

Kack Zassian
For the love of god The more he plays this rambunctious style of hockey, the more he'll get injured. A change in style is needed or else Kesler will spend more time on the shelf than on the ice. He's been ineffective when he's been out there and I guess part of it might be due to this injury. MoneypuckOverlord
The team was playing fine without him. I'm not saying, he's a bad player, but man... what terrible luck. Groin injury Arm surgury Now a Broken right foot, and that the strong side of him too, since players naturally stop on the right side. DeNiro
Just be thankful it's not season ending or anything. Look at all the other teams in the league dealing with worse. I mean look at the Senators. Kes will be back with plenty of time to get ready for playoffs. If anything a rested Kesler is a good thing, since he seems to be worn down by the time he gets playoffs most years. And since it's his foot, he can continue to strengthen up his shoulder while he's recovering. Man there's alot of pathetic fans in here. Once you jump off the bandwagon, please stay off. We don't need you.

hockeyville88
His broken foot was from his rambunctious style? We can't have a $5 million player stepping in front of every shot trying to block them. There is a reason the Sedins are so durable. They play smart and don't put their bodies in the way of unnecessary harm. Part of it is luck obviously. Kesler can't control everything that happens on the ice. But certainly he doesn't have to tempt fate.
alt kilgore
On 1040 they said this was from a shot 3 games ago! What a beast. I can't imagine playing a beer league game with a broken foot let alone 3 NHL caliber games. That said, %*#&$#!!!!!!! So he still hadn't shaken the rust off (that broken food may have had a little to do with it in the last few games) and now we'll be lucky if, after recovery, he's even up to par when the playoffs start. On the plus side at least AV won't be abusing his playing minutes and wear him out as usual before the "real" season starts.
iCanucksLover
If he was injured 3 games ago, why was he still playing.......? The team was playing fine w/o him, so I hope they will be able to continue that. Feel bad for him though, so many injuries. GWS Kesler!
cmpunk
1 player missing 4 weeks, means the whole team is not a contender? Seriously, blow it up?!??! Give your head a shake.
