elvis15 Posted March 1, 2013 Share Posted March 1, 2013 As mentioned in the Sestito claimed thread, here's the timeline:Volpatti put on waivers to clear a roster spot so Pinizzotto could come off of IRKesler injured (and likely put on IR right away, just never heard confirmation)Volpatti claimed by Wash and Ebbett called up (not sure which happened in which order)Pinizzotto brought off IR and sent to Wolves on a conditioning loanSestito claimed from Philly Without the Kesler injury/Ebbett recall, it's a little simpler timeline, but basically once Volpatti was claimed, we freed up a roster spot and Pinizzotto was sent down. Then we had a roster spot open again and we claimed Sestito to replace the loss of Volpatti (or perhaps they wanted to bring someone in with more size regardless). DarthMelvin Posted March 1, 2013 Share Posted March 1, 2013 Did you read a couple of posts up? the Canucks replaced Volpatti with a bigger dude who hits harder and will stand up for his mates just as much as Aaon did. Said he hits like a truck has good speed for a big dude and is the first guy in on a scrum to protect his mates.
