From what I can notice, other than top line, none of our other lines have been able to find any chemistry due to the constant line juggling, and here some stats to keep in mind

- we were 8-2-2 before Kesler returned (this includes a 6-0-1 record against division), meaning 2-2-1 against non-divisional teams
- 2-3-2 since Kesler returned, all against non-divisional teams

so as you can see, we're playing like garbage and our position would be a lot different if we weren't in this crappy NW division... has AV been figured out by other coaches and is unable to get out of jam now by simply juggling his line-up? do we simply need a new voice behind the bench because AV has lost his? and most importantly, do we need a non-line juggler so that the players can actually play with each other enough to develop chemistry?

ps. I voted if we get eliminated from playoffs.. simply because I believe AV will get the benefit of the doubt with the lockout and injuries

I have been an AV supporter but I am starting to think that it is probably time for a change.

If AV does get the axe, his best probable replacement is likely going to be someone who is currently working. Unless you want to go with the interim head-coach approach, it would be better to make a change in the summer when you can offer promotions to guys that are currently working elsewhere.

I don't think there are any currently unemployed coaches that I would prefer to see in here over AV.

I think it should happen before Ruff gets hired, but it won't. I don't really like how this team is being run right now even by MG, he seems kind of shady to me for some reason.

Regardless of who the coach is, the lineup also needs some work. It is incomplete again.

That makes way more sense. I figured maybe you had money on AV in some sort of 'who gets fired first' pool.

I would sack MG before I would sack AV. The guy has given us NOTHING in 2 years. However in that time he has seen off Sammy, Sami, Hodgson, Erhoff, Manny (although Manny is trying to resist it) Rome, Sulzer and now Volpatti.

Arguably we got next to nothing back for these stalwarts.

and Grabner, we've lost a lot of skill.............. no wonder our team plays like plugs and there is no creativity or anything.

We've gone from having a soft super skilled team to having a soft average skilled team......

AV is on thin ice but if im Aqualini i'm also starting to pay attention to MG.
If Gillis only adds a Pahlsson and a Gragnani again then maybe its time to consider a new gm.
Neither AV or MG are looking too good right now.
They compiled and coach a soft team that doesn't play for 60 minutes.
Is it the coaching ? is it the GM ? is is the players ?
its all 3 if u ask me. coach is too comfortable, the core is too comfortable and our GM still doesnt seem to get the obvious needs of this team.

I thought he would have been done after the first round exit. But Gillis saw it as, its not the coaching fault, if Luongo lets in 10 goals in 2 games during the playoffs. He was also at a disadvantage without Daniel Sedin our best player. I guess thats why he's still around. But anything less then a first round win, he should be gone. I like him as a coach but I think it might be time, if we don't at least win 1 round this summer.

Don't like him one bit. With that being said he is going no where soon. He will be the coach till the cows come home or the owners put the squeeze on Gillis.

I like how all the options are assuming he will get fired. No option for "He'll be around for awhile" or anything, even if we don't win the cup.
With that being said. Joe Sakic, or Ron Wilson, you heard it here first

Wish it was now, to give time to new coach to settle before playoffs, but it will only be once we're eliminated.

Your poll is flawed. It assumes the only way AV isn't fired is if we win the Cup this season, which is a bit of an overreach unless you have some insider information the rest of us don't, especially given his record and the fact that his team is sitting 8th in the league right now.

If there was a Chicken Little Cup, Vancouver would have it locked up each and every season.

Has MG given AV ANY upgrades for this team since the Boston series ................NO!

Has it been obvious to everyone and his dog what this team has needed since the Boston series.............YES!

Conclusion.............MG can't get the job done.

I think this is a stupid poll because it does not have a choice...he won't get axed.
You also have to have someone capable of doing a better job than AV to even consider that....and please don't say Lindi Ruff because he isn't half the coach that AV is.

Hamhuis, Garrison, Booth, Ballard and Higgins all say hello....you can also add Kassian (although I still wish we still had Cody H.....he would be centering the 2nd line right now). It is a little early to judge the trade so soon but right now, Cody is tearing it up with his new team and Kassian's play is inconsistent.

AV isn't getting fired. Even if we don't make the playoffs this year, he's here to stay for another year. His record with us is too good. Also your poll options suck, suggesting he will get fired if we don't win the cup? Non-sense. I would point the blame more to MG right now then AV. He needs to let some people and contracts go. Depth only works if you have a good team to start with.

Yeah that's pretty much all he's gotten the whole time he's been GM.....they're all average players besides Hamhuis, and 2 of them have terrible contracts. Maybe even 3 if Garrison doesn't improve a lot.

Hamhuis and Garrison also both wanted to sign here because they're from BC, so I wouldn't give him much credit on that.

AV and Bowness should be gone by the end of the year, but I doubt it will happen. With everyone saying that Gillis should be gone because he hasn't given AV any upgrade is a joke. Before the season started everyone was talking about how the Nucks D is the best on paper, and there a lot of skill on the back end but over and over us fans see the system get picked apart by other teams.

Honestly with Grabner the guy was sent to Florida because he was too lazy, then he went to Florida and what 3 weeks later he was waived. Shouldn't that tell you something about Grabner?

Probably will not get fired unless we miss the playoffs and even then the organization will probably give him a chance to right the ship next season but may be on a short lease.
