rb4u
Can anyone explain how we went from having one of the deepest Centre depth chart to one of the weakest in 1 year and how Canucks management failed to see it coming? 2011-2012 Sedin Kesler Hodgson Lapierre Malhotra Ebbett Schroeder 2012-2013 Sedin Schroeder Ebbett Lapierre Kesler (injured... again) Malhotra (forced to retire) And if concerns about Malhotra's recovery from the injury was as severe as MG makes it out to be, why was Hodgson traded and not replaced? Kack Zassian
The only differences are we lost Hodgson, and 2 players got injured. /Thread
Coconuts
Manny hasn't been the same player since his injury, and I'd say the Cody trade was a wash as I've got high hopes for Kassian. Schroeder hasn't looked out of place, and I don't think any of us would have predicted Kesler would be injured again so soon. Gillis will likely bring in a center via trade or address our depth at center once the season is done.

Bananas
Hope Burrows/Higgins can hold the fort as centers for the time being... Also gives Kassian another chance with the Sedins. Sedin - Sedin - Kassian Booth - Burrows - Higgins Raymond - Schroeder - Hansen Ebbett - Lapierre - Wiese bleh
oldnews
Two guys injured. Schroeder - an upgrade - replaces Hodgson. Not that puzzling really.
timberz21
easy malhotra retired hodgson traded for Kassian Even if we still had hodgson on our 2nd line, who would he play with?? Raymond, Hansen, Higgins. Pretty far from Pominville and Vanek. Still he's less than PPG and he's -6 or something.
Kevin Biestra
Hodgson wanted to leave no sense keeping him, not like Gillis could see Kesler breaking his foot a week into his return kind of a freak injury. We also need size so Kassian>Hodgson for our teams needs.
gocanuckzgo
Who knew that when players get injured, you have less players to put out on the ice.

Heretic
Hodgson was a good center for us last year? Really? Was he a team player? Did he play for the betterment of the team? Or was he selfish?
