The OP could have worded the thread title a bit better but his post basically summed up why we should NOT give up on the season. Seriously guys, just read the OP before you respond. GM MG has to be ballsy and make a big move. Little tweeks here an there aint gonna cut. Sea2Sky Country Posted March 2, 2013 Share Posted March 2, 2013 im glad our players are (a lot) more thick-skinned than some of our fans. if they contemplated 'giving up' on the season at every sign of adversity things would get rough real quick. the NHL season is not supposed to be some cakewalk, there's going to be tough patches along the way ... doesn't mean we give up on the team (two-time defending presidents trophy champions who happen to lead their division and have a stacked roster and the best goaltending duo in hockey) faith, reason and patience people! Luongo is the only piece that can be dealt and then another very good goalie needs to be secured. No real prospect pool of depth. Might be a good idea to just mail it in.Rogers or whatever corporate entity owns the rinks name will always be filled with corporate ding dongs,anyways. And they were a sloppy before tonight's game but they've had worse stretches and a lot of us have stuck with them. You don't get to hold the League's record of active consecutive sellouts by giving up on a team. I don't understand why OP thought this was such a pertinent issue.
