Mustapha Posted March 4, 2013 Share Posted March 4, 2013 Canucks played union hockey tonight. I guess they just expected Calgary to roll over and give them 2 points. They played hard against LA, but they didn't empty the tank. This is a short season and only 20 games in, they shouldn't be that tired. The team seems to have a harder time transitioning without Bieksa. 1 clear sign that a team isn't in sync: When they are trapped in their own zone multiple times throughout the game. Schnieder better be playing for the next little bit because Luongo just had 2 stinker games in a row. One soft Luongo goal and one ill timed AV chirp cost #canucks the game. That being said, the Canucks clearly didn't have enough gas to give a full effort in this one. It's been a long 24 hours for them. No better game to be out of gas than against a shoddy Flames team. This is one of those games that will be pretty meaningless when all is said and done. He got an assist, took a few good shots at the goal, played pretty solid in the d-zone. Wasn't a huge splash, but he wasn't a bonehead so that's a plus. Not impressed at all with Sestito though.
