kanucks1
It was an interesting show. But that said....I really like Schneider but nobody wants Lu's contract and you are not going to get much for him. Wayy better off trading Schneids and getting an amazing return. Let Lu run the show.
DeNiro
Speculation. And obvious speculation at that. It's clear we need a third line center. There's lots of cheaper options out there that will only cost us a pick. Gillis will find one.
73 Percent
Just finished watching TSN's Trade Deadline preview show and to recap: Bob McKenzie: There is no current market for goaltenders. Roberto Luongo, Ben Bishop, and Jonathan Bernier have been on the trade block since the start of the season and currently there are no teams showing significant interest in any of them. That may change based on indifferent play and injuries but it is unlikely. Canucks are looking for a 3rd line centre with playoff experience who can provide an upgrade on Jordan Schroeder. Potential Canucks trade bait suggested by Bob McKenzie include: Mason Raymond, David Booth, Keith Ballard, Cory Schneider, and Roberto Luongo. It's unlikey the Canucks would find takers for Booth or Ballard since they have $4.2 Million cap hits with 2 years left on their contracts. Canucks may have to get creative to find tradeable assests to fill their needs. Darren Dreger: Canucks are not 100% sold that Cory Schneider is ready to take over as the number one goaltender based on his play this season. Will likely keep both Luongo and Schneider until the summer and then reevaluate based on what happened in the playoffs. Pierre LeBrun: Canucks will not lower the asking price for Roberto Luongo between now and the deadline.
Kass9
My personal take since the beginning is to keep both goalies.. See what happens in the playoffs and go from there.. Also, this should be AV's most telling season, if nothing works out, he's done.

CHIPS
So that means we are getting Ryan Johansen? I don't think he will get any cheaper.
winthecup
Didnt we need a 3rd line centre last year at trade deadline? Gillis has had over a year to pick up a decent 3rd line centre and has failed to do so.

Tortorella's Rant
How about a second line center instead of grabbing some guy for the third line that can't play the second.
