Do you wet your toothbrush before brushing?

My dentist told me making your toothpaste wet before brushing will reduce its effectivness, havent confirmed this but i always wet it before i brush, what about you guys?

makes sense, water makes it more loose and toothpaste is thicker than syrup

I do use water on my brush first..

I won't stop, they are trying to take away all our rights.. I'm a anti-dentite !

i have been going to the dentist once a year for since i was able to go to the dentist then after 18 years old roughly once every 2 years after that and at 25 years old i have never heard that before

I like to wet my toothbrush first to rinse it off. Guess all my teeth are going to fall out now...

It's too gritty and thick if not. And you can't teach this old dog new tricks.
