Your Shootout Lineup

D. Sedin, H. Sedin, Burrows (or Kesler instead when he's not injured). Or maybe even alternate Burrows, Kes & Booth. Booth needs a boost of confidence somehow anyway!

I say force the twins to take them until they take it seriously and become good at it.

Raymond seems to be the only Canuck that can toe drag and stickhandle. Look at the other teams with guys like Datsyk, Kane, whomever... those guys can stickhandle goalies out of their jocks. What do our guys do... usually the same: fake once, then move to forehand or backhand. And that's it. And it hasn't worked IMO. Does the team practice shootouts?

We are 2 wins and 5 losses this year in shootouts.

We have scored 5 goals and let in 10.

Last year we were 8 and 7 with 18 goals for and 20 against.

In those 15 shootouts, only 10 different players participated...

Edler is picked because he was the 2nd best shooter for the Canucks last year.

Career wise, Daniel Sedin has had 23 attempts and scored only 4 times. Henrik is 0 for 3.

Schroeder - Has really good hands. Put him first to take a bit of pressure off. There is no book on the kid

Higgins - Patient and has very good accuracy, doesnt have a move instead he waits on the Goalie and finds a hole

Booth - Has excellent hands and can pull off moves at full speed

Kassian - Just seems very relaxed in the shootout, has really good hands, especially when not being hounded by a defender

Raymond - His shot is much improved this season and his confidence is at a high. Show him some love

Burrows - You have one move, but it is almost unstoppable if you can roof it on the backhand, go with it.

It would be great if the team regularly practiced the shoot out, but that would make too much sense... Rather than put Edler out there, why not give Booth a shot??? Someone that can skate and shoot. This would help Booth gain some confidence and might provide a spark to turn his misfortunes around.

Why wasn't Raymond shooting? Kassian?? Schroeder??? Hanson deserves a shot over Edler... Daniel doesn't do well, so PRACTICE. There's no logical reason a creative, goal scorer cannot pot in a few here or there.

Edler may have been decent last year, but that was then. He has no business out there this season.

Burrows was one of the best shootout players in the NHL last year, can't believe he's not on everyones list. Edler was also the 2nd best Canuck after Burrows last year and scored on 50% of his chances so despite one game isn't as bad as people on here think.

My list would be

1) Higgins

2) Burrows

3) Schroeder

(Edler)

(Kassian)
