Wholeheartedly agree King Richard should be up on the ROH.

The more I think about, I'm shocked he isn't up there yet.

Captain Kirk is up there...and deservedly so. But even though he was only with the team a couple of years less, without King Richard there would have been no first Stanley Cup run for this franchise that had been mired in mediocrity from it's inception up to that point.

Edit: Not sure what I was thinking but I missed adding this word.

Not only that, but he was actually with the team about as long as Kirk McLean. Something like 1980-1988.

Which, as it happens, corresponds EXACTLY with the years of Wayne Gretzky's goal-a-game prime.

It just shows how tough Brodeur was mentally that the Canucks aren't shelling out for psychotherapy, sending him out against the 1980-88 Smythe Division game after game.

Edmonton: Gretzky, Coffey, The Name that Shall Not Be Spoken, Kurri, Anderson...
Calgary: Lanny McDonald, Kent Nilsson, Hakan Loob...
Winnipeg: Dale Hawerchuk
Los Angeles: Marcel Dionne, Charlie Simmer, Dave Taylor, Bernie Nicholls...

Hall of Famers coming at the King from every angle!

**RETIRED...**

"Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens & the earth were joined together as one united piece, then We (Allah) parted them? And We have made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?" (Qur'an 21:30)

Sig too big, images removed. - SN

"Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure--one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.” (David Rockefeller)

Every day that the King is not in the Ring, is a day that the Canucks organization is in a state of damnable shame.
