Andrew Ebbett has points in 8 straight games, the longest current points streak in the AHL. Say what you want about Ebbett, but there's a reason Gillis didn't want to lose him. He's a valuable asset for the farm team. Having great AHL players in your organization can only be a good thing for your prospects in the AHL.

Unfortunately, it appears that Rodin is injured again. He tripped and fell awkwardly into the boards and cannot put any weight on his leg now.

Derek Joslin and Brad Winchester get coinciding minors. 4 on 4 hockey now.

I can't believe the luck this team has had with prospects getting injured, suspended, benched, or cut from their team.

If they had taken Rodin in the first round, it would have been a disaster. People already complain enough about Schroeder...

This is why I would have no problem trading a second round pick at the deadline. I mean, would anyone really care if we traded a player like Sauve, Rodin, or Mallet for a good rental?

Scores!! Former Milwaukee Admiral Mark Matheson took a lucky bounce off a skate and put it right in the back of the net to tie the game for the Wolves.

1-1.

Personally, I would rather the Canucks just improve their 2nd round drafting than trade the picks.

Pinizzotto just made a nice feed to Longpre, forcing Smith to make a great save on Longpre, but then took a penalty. Admirals to the PP.

Well they haven't had a great track record so far.

It would be nice if they would finally draft some tough Western Canadian kids in the second round, but there has been no signs of that so far.

Jarvinen takes a boarding penalty and the Wolves will go to the PP to end this 1st period.

Hey, hey, give the guy some credit. He's been back for a whole couple games. It was a nice, long, healthy stretch for him. :P

The Wolves will get another PP here. The commentators didn't even mention what the Admirals were penalized for...

BTW, Archibald took Rodin's spot on the top line after Rodin got hurt. Besides scoring the go ahead goal, he's had some great chances there.

Connauton just made a great defensive play on the PK then rushed the puck up the other way himself. Good shift for him.

Climie has also been a wall in this period. The Admirals have had several great chances, all within close proximity of the net, and he's held his ground every time.

Good, Archibald sounds like he deserves a spot on the top line. Would be a better fit with Ebbett and Haydar rather than another smaller guy like Rodin.
RIP LB28, RR37 and PD38... Forever a Canuck
