Pasific Coluseum
Perry a unrestricted free agent to be. Ducks just signed Getzlaf to max and doubt they have enough to sign Perry. We trade for Perry and I guarantee you he takes us over the top. He is essentially Kesler x10 & Alex Burrows x 100 suffice to say Perry>Kesler>Burrows More skilled and consistent point producer vs. Kesler with just as good if not better defensive game. Canucks MUST think hard about trading for Corey Perry. This guy is essentially a franchise player. Canucks also need a shakeup. When's the last time we made a blockbuster? Luongo? To Van: Perry Allen To Ducks: Kesler Ballard Shroeder 2nd Rounder
Gooby
They have 20 million in cap left.
Smashian Kassian
So we trade away an elite two-way forward on an outstanding contract for a player who is better offensively but is a winger and is a rental. Not only that we also deal Schroeder so our only offensive center is Henrik Sedin. So what is our line-up now? Daniel - Henrik - Burrows Booth - Lappierre - Perry Higgins - Ebbett - Hansen Raymond - Pinnizzotto - Kassian no thanks, our center depth isn't that great already, no reason to deal Kes, especially when we need him more than Perry. The Kessing Booth line
Sooooo Andrew Ebbett as our 2nd line centre errrrrr.......?(Jay Onrait/Dan O'Toole voice)
Pears
Sure. Lets gut our center depth for a pending free agent who will most likely walk. Brilliant idea
PrimeMinisterBure
I'd rather see Edler plus another small piece go to Anaheim for Perry in a sign-and-trade situation. That'd be a reasonable deal that fills holes on both teams.
Mookie Wilson
That would be the worst deal in team history if the Canucks didn't win the Stanley Cup this year and then Perry walked. And even if Perry did re-sign, it could still become the worst deal in team history. And: we're already short on centres and you propose we trade two and return none. We get worse immediately. Kack Zassian
Corey Perry > Ryan Kesler But, 5 million dollar Kesler > 8 million $ Perry.
EagleShield
Don't trade for him, but if we can get him in the summer, that would be awesome.
