Assuming no one is moved at the trade deadline, how would you manage this team for success in the off season? I went on to cap geek and heres what I would consider regarding UFA's, RFA's and players currently under contract.

Players that Vancouver should keep:

H. Sedin (NTC)
D. Sedin (NTC)
Kelser (NTC)
Bieksa (NTC)
Garrison (NTC)
Hamhuis (NTC)

Players that Vancouver should consider moving:

From Canucks:

Malholtra *considering he still wants to continue playing next year*

From Wolves:

S. Schneider

Players Vancouver should consider letting go to free agents:

From Canucks:

Malholtra *I assume if he retires after this season, he'd consider staying as a coach to the canucks*

** = Depending what happens this off season/trade deadline

Players Vancouver should consider looking at:

These picks were all based on my opinion and those I deem able to help this team due to needs, such as: Size, strength, skill, cap size, leadership and personal preference. I havent even bothered adding those who could be traded for on other teams as there were far too many possibilities. Please, look at this and give me what you think were good choices, bad choices and anything in between. I'd love to see what others believe can help our canucks be cup contenders again and again.

What we need:

- Right handed, right side D man
- A Bryan Allen-type physical bottom pair D man
- Shutdown third line center; Zack Smith, Darren Helm etc. (Helm is a dream though)

Trading chips: Luongo/Schneider, Booth, Ballard

In my eyes drouin is overrated he can score in the qmjhl but did nothing in last two gold medal games that canada lost. Fox will be better pro than him talk to me in five yrs

ryan kesler is going to the chicago blackhawks ...       quote me on it
